    nut free for us with allergies!!

      maybe replace the nuts with buckwheat groats or seeds you can eat

    • Kelsey Fink cashews are actually a seed. But I am nut allergic too, yet I
      can do some coconut and cashew. sub agave or omit the coconut sap.

      May I ask, what are buckwheat groats?? Also….. in a recipe like this,
      what kind of seeds do you think would work well? What would have the best
      flavor in this? I wonder if pumpkin seeds would be good. Otherwise I eat
      sunflower seeds as well.

      Buckwheat groats are little seeds that have a similar taste to oats yet a
      much harder exterior shell and crunchier texture..Also, I would suggest
      sunflower seeds for this recipe as they are much creamier 🙂

    use as a substitute?

      Ohhh, just simply use frozen or fresh bananas in their place?

    • Can you have sunflower seeds? those would work! You could also just add
      sunflower “butter” (or hemp seeds) to this recipe, in place of the cashews.
      Its essentially just sunflower seeds mixed in a food processor or blender,
      with water and/or oil, to create a “buttery”, creamy spread, that could
      definitely be used in place of cashews, peanut butter, almond butter, etc.
      If you’re fullyraw, you could make your own sunflower butter at home, just
      by adding the raw sunflower seeds to a food processor, with a little bit of
      water or cold-processed coconut oil (if you’re not allergic to it) 🙂
