    how would i go about going into this pose if i am not yet flexiable enough to put my feet up on my thighs? sorry for all the questions, i am just very interested in pursueing yoga!

    I tried this once, in the sauna, felt like I just ripped / jarred my knee, put me out commission for about 6 months..

  5. for the second time, whiles warmed up and going slow iv sprained my knee bad.. Been more than three months and still healing. Btw i am very flexible, dont know what happened..

    Hi Kino! I am a new student to ashtanga (about 3 months, but enthusiastic) struggling to find the flexibility in my right shoulder to bind with my right foot (i have the same experience with ardha baddha padmottanasana and ardha baddha padma paschimattanasana). My shoulders are strong but tight. Do you have any advice for working toward binding for students who experience a lack of mobility in the shoulders? Thank you in advance!

    Hello Kino! I’m a big fan of yours from India. I’ve been into Ashtanga yoga since past 3 months. With the ‘Baddhapadmasana’ posture, i can catch hold of my left foot using my left arm and while holding the left foot (as a stand) i’m unable to grip my right foot simultaneously. I do bend my spine slightly but it never gets me into the posture. Will i ever be able to do it?
