The U.S. government, via the EPA and titans of polluting industry have gotten away with putting chemicals in our water that cause a “light lobotomy” for decades now, but the Fluoride Action Network (FAN), along with a coalition of environmental and public health groups is seeking a ban on the well-documented, neurotoxic chemical – fluoride.
An official complaint is being put forth by FAN under Section 21 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). It seeks to end the artificial fluoridation of water supplies in the U.S., and potentially worldwide, based on the scientific research proving that sodium fluoride, a byproduct of the nuclear industry, causes neurodegeneration.
There was literally no scientific research documenting what fluoride did to the pineal gland until the late 1990s, but thanks to the research of Doctor Jennifer Luke, from the University of Surrey in England, we know that the pineal gland is the primary organ of accumulation for fluoride.
“Fluoride is likely to cause decreased melatonin production and to have other effects on normal pineal function, which in turn could contribute to a variety of effects in humans.” (National Research Council 2006).
Hitler also added high doses of fluoride to the water of Nazi concentration camps. It’s long been used as a chemical warfare agent. This chemical affects our consciousness in a nefarious manner and inhibits our will to act against our oppressors.
Yet even the U.S. government has admitted that the public has been “overdosed” on this health-damaging chemical, only recently lowering the recommended level of fluoride in water from 0.7 to 1.2 milligrams per liter (mg/L) of water to 0.7 mg/L, to prevent signs of fluoride overexposure. Translation: cover the rear ends of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and protect them from the very type of lawsuits which FAN is now putting forth.
The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in response to their denial of our petition under Section 21 of the seeking a ban on water fluoridation.
According to FAN’s attorney and adviser, Michael Connett:
“This case will present the first time a court will consider the neurotoxicity of fluoride and the question of whether fluoridation presents an unreasonable risk under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
And, in contrast to most other legal challenges of Agency actions, TSCA gives us the right to get the federal court to consider our evidence ‘de novo’ — meaning federal courts are to conduct their own independent review of the evidence without deference to the EPA’s judgment.”
Fluoride has been called one of the most damaging environmental pollutants of the cold war. Many countries have already banned it, yet the US still adds it to 70 percent of communities’ municipal water supplies.
If this lawsuit gets the attention and support it deserves, as well as a fair trial, the fluoridation of our water, worldwide, could finally be a thing of the past.
