Really makes you question your assumptions and your approach. Makes you want to disregard everything you know and apply nothing but pure rationality to the problem at hand!

    London tube is amazing!

  4. What’s with the 50 second intro. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

  5. that was a nice 3minute video, could have done without the 1minute intro

The London underground map is by far a revolutionary design.

  7. The video format was way too busy, even without considering the overly-long intro. Which is ironic, considering the principles explained in this very video: focus, simplicity, and who are you doing this for anyway?

The content was perfectly fine. It could just have been presented better.

Nice vid but IMO the super fast editing multiple times every second is overwhelming and way over the top

  9. 40 seconds in and I’m very confused on what I’m watching. I just want to see about the subway map, not buttons and jump-rope.

  10. What irony. A video about making something complicated simple, just made something simple complicated. Good content, HORRENDOUS execution. What’s with the waste of time and all the silly sound effects? If I wanted stupid sound effects and useless graphics I’d watch some video produced with Koch money. I watch TED to learn, not for entertainment.

  11. It feels like this is going for the most edits per second award. Slow it down we don’t need a cut every .3 seconds. I felt like this was great info with 10,000 short cuts just shoved in.

  12. 0:52 for the actual video

  13. Try reading these bloody maps when you’re colourblind : s I understand there’s probably no easier way but I swear it makes my head spin each time I try to read one. I always end up having to ask for directions.

The video is too fast. I did not have a good look at the map. Everything is flying. The video makes me dizzy

Wow, a TED that’s actually interesting and notdripping in identity politics.

  16. My Dad maintains this map today

  17. 1. Focus on who you’re doing it for
    2. What is the shortest/simplest way to deliver
    3. Think outside of the box/cross-disciplinary thinking

  18. Loved the video!
