      The irony is, the republicans did to Paul to get Romney in, what the DNC did to Sanders to get Hillary in. The fact they were still in court during this last election is why they couldn’t against Trump. So in all actuality, Paul got us Trump. And the fact the DNC didn’t learn from what the republicans had done 4 years early, proves they do not watch their rivals at all.

      Independents sway elections. Paul would have beat Obama’s 2nd term run. Guaranteed.

I was for him when he ran for president in 08′ CNN didn’t air him on polls then when he was neck to neck at the top so people didn’t know he was still in!He’s been the backbone of common sense truth for many years.

The monopoly empires of the 19th and early 20th century tycoons flourished without governmental restraints and working conditions for the masses only improved through legislation. The trashing of the Constitution and rampant legalized murder via unjust wars has proliferated due to a lack of citizen participation in a government that was designed to protect our freedoms. This apathy has allowed the power of government to be usurped and corrupted by the influence of the wealthy and fostered a new era of super wealthy tycoons and struggling masses.

      That’s generally where I end up on those Political Spectrum tests. We should try to get more people involved in politics, and from the numbers of politically interested young people growing, it looks like it’s moving that way. A lot of them are being indoctrinated one way or the other (more towards the left as they control the academic systems), but at least they are aware-ish.

      It was never really legislated against. It was cooperatively mitigated, at best. Government was co-opted to rescue monopoly capitalism: big business and big government are in cahoots and both enemies of liberty; without government to protect them I expect the money-power would have largely collapsed and been swept away by now. It needs to buy government to survive: government effectively protects it from the consequences of its own corruption and folly. The so-called bail-out was the extreme and classic example.

      This is one of the most successful Anarchic societies to ever exist, and it only lasted for about three years. It failed because non-anarchic groups took it down, because they had a hell of a lot more power. They had a lot more power because Humans are pack animals and function better within a hierarchy. If you put Humans into a controlled group with absolutely no rules where the people rule themselves, the strong thrive and the weak fail. Ultimately, the strong will begin to rule the weak, and you have the beginnings of Government.

      It’s natural; however, I do agree that we need to bring the amount of control our leaders have down drastically, just not to the extent of anarchy.
