Sara Wilcker – in other words, because we put so much credit in digital storage of private information; we are all vulnerable to unknown spying/hacking and we may very well be doomed to see these systems crash everything.
Sara Wilcker its a virus that exploits the cpu security vulnerabilities
Basically, CPUs are designed so none of the applications can see eachothers data, but they also are designed to intelligently grab data that they’ll need in the future to increase CPU speed, but in doing so, malicious code can be used to break the walls between application data and see what other applications are doing.
Sara Wilcker it means the stuff we buy has built in back doors. And can’t be fixed with a uploaded program fix

yes but they dont create ecu architecture. they simply follow the cpu laws when making their software. if those laws are broken the cpu still has to follow them. so no matter what software you run the cpu still needs to follow those set laws to operate. if those laws are vunerable it doesnt matter what software you use.
You could find the next exploit, if you’re smart enough. Are you in on it?
Uh the software is *designed around* the CPU… If the “CPU laws” are broken, it just won’t function properly, simple.
Not to forget mentioning the chips in cars….
maverick yeah. The ones they tell us can’t be hacked. Got to love the lies the manufacturers sell us. Now there will be a huge rush to make more and force us to buy more again. They have already been sending us updates that turn off or destroy our private property that we paid good money for.
they did mention it. arms processors are used in cars.. but these vunerabilities are more about servers. being able to access memory in a domino effect. the people who run security server farms are the ones who are shitting their pants at the moment.

Um, it’s not just virtualization systems that are affected – just that they pointed out that virtualization sandboxes don’t mean anything anymore. ALL CPU’s are affected. Meltdown is the Intel bug, and Spectre affects all chips (including ARM) and is also not completely fixable without a hardware swap-out with some as-yet-unreleased new chip that doesn’t have the flaw. This sets back chip and OS design by years. This is Blaster x1000.

yeah anything X86 is screwed as well as any windows emergency updates screwing with people who do overclocking and fan profiles with software instead of in BIOS.

Michael J It didn’t affect my Fx 8350 but it came with a patch from Win 10 anyway. My i7 3960x been outside the case until my modded custom paint job of my case come to place my Fxa 990 Ud3 Ultra in that one, with two 290x, and I will carry on as usual.

I smell a rat. I bet you anything this was a built in fault these CEOs agreed to do for the NSA and the reason it’s being announced now is to get ahead of it coming out later revealing their collusion with the NSA to spy on the American people. They want this out now so it looks like they are helping, because they know all these investigations and allegations of Obama administration spying and using those powers so broadly against the American people means it will probably come out.

Management engine is a backdoor, this is a flaw. Not good for the chip manufacturers.
