  1. Thanks Kino.  Really needed to hear your words of wisdom.  I hope to be following your journey.  Might I say, you look really lovely in your video today…you are glowing!

  2. hhmm……these arent as fun as the videos where youre half naked with your legs behind your head blasting that coochie bone out for everyone to see.

  3. Thanks for your videos. I’m new to yoga and the yogi lifestyle. I really want to give it my all in this new lifestyle. I really do enjoy it. I am also practicing being vegan. A healthy vegan. There is one thing that has been bugging me and I’m not sure what to do about it. This question may sound weird, but I’m really serious about it.

I’m a young adult, and I’ve grown up with television and playing video games. I’m not a big time TV watcher or someone who likes to go to movies a lot. And same thing with video games, although I do play sometimes.

Television, going to the movies and playing video games is really a normal thing almost everybody does. Video games is the least done by most people but television and movies are definitely something almost everybody does. But I’m not so sure about Yogis.

Ever since I started my yoga journey which was in 2011 I have grown less and less interested in movies, television and video games and now I feel like all of those things are pointless. I feel like I never want to do those things ever again, at least when I am by myself. I feel different about it if I am at someone else house, but I still much rather prefer doing something else.

I feel like now when I am by myself at home (especially at night) I feel like the most important thing for me to do is to do yoga and meditate and not watch tv at all. And during the morning throughout the day I feel like the best thing for me is to get my exercise (including yoga and meditate) and then be productive and active the rest of the day.

I just want to know If you watch tv, go to movies, or play video games? I totally can’t picture you doing any of those (especially playing video games). I really want to stop those completely. But I feel weird right now doing that, because I don’t know if it is just me or if that is really what I should do. I feel like I should make every second count in this life and I feel like tv, movies and video games are a waste of time now.

And I love art by the way. I know tv, movies and video games can be seen as an art, but I feel like there are much better forms of art and entertainment out there. Such as going out, museums, music, reading books etc.

Can you please either send me a message about whether or not you watch tv, movies, or play video games or make a video on that. Or even just respond right here is good enough if all you’re going to say is “I don’t watch TV, movies or play video games” haha. I honestly feel like I don’t have the time, and don’t want to make the time for those anymore.

    Thank you so much.

Sorry, I wanted to edit this. There’s one thing I forgot to mention. I guess the best way to put it is, I want to really live a holistic lifestyle. I think holistic is what it is. Pretty much everything you mention is what I am really striving towards. And I feel like watching TV is not living holistic. I just really want to know because I want to do this as best as I can.

I do have a life and so do my family and friends and they do watch a little tv here and there. So for myself, should I try not to watch tv at all. And if I’m at home and my family is watching a movie, should I watch with them? Or should I try to find something else to do for me, like meditate or do some yoga? I think the only time I should really watch the tv or play video games is when I am at a friends house and for that period of time the only thing there really is to do is watch tv. But I think now I’m getting to that point where we can find other things to do. Like stretch and meditate. When my friends come over now at night all we just is stretch and meditate. The only times now where I really watch tv is if I am at a friends house because most of my friends haven’t gotten to the point yet to where they wanna meditate and stretch at there house. They only do it at my house because they are not into it as much as I am, but they are getting there. And I could tell I am a real influence on them and they are following my lead, and I am still on my journey and I haven’t learned everything yet. But I really want to be sure and confident about these things and then be firm about them when I apply it to my life. And still enjoy and have fun. I think living the holistic lifestyle is so fun once you get into the groove of it. But if definitely takes some practice and getting use to.

    • I really commend your interest in the yoga lifestyle! I watch a few programs on my iPad/computer but I don’t have a TV set or cable. I do enjoy going to the movies sometimes as well if I have the time. Doing yoga doesn’t meant that you don’t want TV or movies or even video games, it just means that you do everything with consciousness and awareness. Maybe one day they’ll make a video game based on the yoga lifestyle?

    • Thanks for the reply. Your response definitely helped me out. You know whats funny, they actually do have a yoga video and it is for the Nintendo Wii haha. I have no interest in playing it. But if it gets people to do yoga then I guess that’s good.

  4. Hi Kino!  Do you run any kind of YTT? I think you are wonderful and would be interested in any certification courses you potentially have to offer! Namaste 🙂

  5. I really love these blogs! You have opened up the world of yoga to me and I practice the primary series you created on the Cody App daily. Is it ok that I don’t attend a class? My sister gave me a ticket to one of your workshops next year so that will be my official first class! I really appreciate all these videos because you inspire me to push myself, be a better person and understand the practice not just in a physical way.
    Thank you!
