  1. Very helpful! I have found this pose very puzzling, esp the instruction to keep the butt relaxed and legs straight while trying to get the sort of height of the legs you achieve. Is the height of the legs off the ground a function of the anatomy? In other words, my pelvic orientation and the amount of nutation I can achieve is based on my individual anatomy and my finished pose may have legs more parallel to the ground than others for that reason? Thanks!

  2. Hi Kino, backbend is one of my weakness because of my lower back stiffness and I think that this posture could improve it.Could you give me advice please about backbend’s workout? thanks

  3. Kino guruji, could you please demonstrate spine elongation asanas? I’m a student who spends most of the day hunched in front of a computer/books studying. It’s really messed up my back. Iim sure most ppl could relate to this lifestyle. Thank you!

  4. Your articulation of anatomical alignment is so helpful and has helped transform my asthanga practice, I do not have an asthanga teacher where I live, so your presence in cyber space is truly appreciated! Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge!!!

  5. Wow this was a very powerful movement for me. A big shift in intention. Most of my backbends come from a pull in the backmuscles. It was a very pleasent way to focus on the pelvis and lifting the pelvicfloor made it feel as the movement came from deep within. It decompressed my spine in a beautiful way. This was a big eye opener for me. I am very grateful for this video, thank you Kino!
