That was truly a great video. Well done.
The problem with these kind of people that buy into New Age, is they use anything about anything to be their own God. It’s a downward spiral, much like the Vortex is….
E E ‘These kind of people’ sounds very judgemental
second time hearing this after watching the show, truly is a weird time out there with all these conversions……
Welcome to the great awakening of earthbound humanity! There will be much confusion as old, indoctrinated belief systems get shaken up.
The New Age movement has been taken over by capitalism just like everything else that happens in this world. This is a 3D environment the world runs on money so therefore everything gets tainted by money.
Most of these new agers nowadays that are giving all these speeches and telling people how to live and talking about people they’re channeling, it’s all BS.
Most of these Chandlers are being channeled by spirits that are just as tricky and just as sneaky as the humans that live here right now.
You have to be really careful what and who you believe. I just kind of take it as a matter of fact that if a Chandler has a lot of money and they’re bragging about going to the Bahamas or any of these Retreats then they’re not worth listening to.
Because they’re obviously in it for the money.
Abraham Hicks, teaches a process. They don’t tell people what to use the process for. Because, it doesn’t matter. Its all the same. Serving individual interest, goes hand and hand, with serving humanity. You have to put your own oxygen mask on, before you try to help others. Like you stated, attracting monetary abundance doesn’t necessarily equate to lasting happiness. But, who are you to decide what others, apply these principles to. If people desire material goods, they have to get that first, before they can direct the process to what you, clearly, think are more, righteous pursuits. Glad you brought up scarcity, because until you said it, you both were playing into scarcity consciousness. We can have it all. And chances are, those who can/do have the biggest positive impact on the world, are going to enjoy some monetary success. In our world money=freedom. If one doesn’t have money, chances are, they are going to be preoccupied with material gain, and won’t/can’t be focused on co-creating a new earth, or whatever you think they should be doing, instead of attracting abundance. The process works for everything. Transference. I wouldn’t claim there is only one process, but the one espoused by Abraham-Hicks, is an extremely elementary, practical process. For you to talk about it in a negative light, makes me think you don’t like this particular process. Insinuating, in any way, that it is evil, is grossly judgmental and certainly a misunderstanding of the process. I realize you are just trying to generate a conversation. It worked. You got me going. All I’m saying…don’t knock it, because, it isn’t the process for you. Whatever I, or you may think of “The Secret”, they nailed it, in the last scene. Feeling good, is the key to the universe. And that’s actually what I hear you espousing anyway. That is one of the reasons, I like this channel. There is no contradiction between anything, I have ever heard you say, and what Abraham teaches. So, really you are badmouthing this teacher, and then agreeing with their teachings. I get it though. Your focus is different. I’m right there with you. Lasting happiness isn’t going to come in the form of financial abundance for me, either. But, it doesn’t exclude it. We are here for something more. That is why, I love your channel. It is Abraham+. You and I, are standing on their shoulders. It doesn’t make them wrong, and certainly not evil. We are taking it to the next level. But, whether you use Abraham’s process or another, thinking on purpose, is necessary to get anywhere. Gaining control of your thoughts, therefore feelings, therefore, what manifests, is fundamental. It is work. There are no shortcuts. That is what, appears to me, to be peoples’ hang up, with the Abraham process. There is no way around the work. Thank you, for the work you do.
I really enjoyed the open discussion between Richard and Joe, but this is a great reply/comment, Rebecca; in good part because you’re correct about having to do ‘the work’ of aligning oneself with the principles being desired on a regular basis. I think you’ve filled in the blanks of what they were searching for quite admirably, and I think it’s just what I needed to hear, so thank you.
The own soul must be transformed so happiness and abundamce may be recognized. Cravings, base passions, desires, wrong thinking, etc… tend to cut us off from our true eternal reality.
If Doreen Virtue actually had “virtue”, she would maybe not have done a bait and switch to fundamentalism.
The establishments use of fear, guilt, and shame to coerce is literally using the powers of darkness to survive. I suppose we are to realize this and grow past it.
May we all be freed from the endless cycles of samsara/maya!
Many years ago I used to like The Secret, I thought it was a break through for society. But atfer learning more about life and what’s really important, I started to question this book. I thought, all they teach is how you attract certain things, but it doesn’t teach you what you have to do first in order to get those things. You can’t attract security (money etc), when you’re not secure within yourself. If you don’t love yourself, life won’t give you all those presents just because you attract it with your thoughts etc. That doesn’t work. First you have to learn how to love yourself, how to be grateful and just simply be satisfied with what you have.. in a state of need and absence and probably combined with fear, you will never get rich. Life is a mirror. If there’s something you really need, but you’re imbalanced, life will reflect you exactly that. That there’s a lack of something.
This is where Shadowwork is essential.
I like the honest discussion on this topic. I have been on a journey of awakening for 11 years now and can honestly say that I consciously attract positive things pretty regularly now, caveat being that true spiritual growth came first. When The Secret came out I was very naive and had many desires out of alignment with Self. This isn’t bad, it was just a part of my spiritual growth process. You have to get in alignment with higher Self in order to have enough Qi to be a conscious creator. Just sayin’ it works once you really get the spiritual alignment part.
What is the ‘New Age Movement?’. If you can’t define it then what’s to discuss? This is becoming very divisive. Sort of them and us. I wouldn’t dismiss anything right now and I think we can pick and mix. There are some great bits in modern wisdom, as there are in ancient text. There is also a load of nonsense in both. The Secret and Doreen Virtue are not indicative of all New Age (whatever it is) information. Doreen Virtue never did it for me and neither did The Secret but that doesn’t make either wrong, or indeed right and certainly not evil.
I normally love your work but this discussion is not going anywhere for me. I’m not remotely interested in materialistic possessions and wouldn’t be interested in manifesting a big car, or more money, but perhaps that is for others to learn. Maybe people have to go down that path to learn, that is their lesson. You are talking as if everyone realises they are here to serve. Some people are so far off of that assumption that they probably aren’t even watching this channel.
I hear what you’re saying, the full episode goes into more detail. The purpose of this is just that though.. Ppl refer to things in the new age all the time, yet there is no idea of what it really is. It has to be discussed as it comes up in peoples conversationa all the time. This was an attempt at bringing nuance to the discussion
