Taking design cues from urban planners and social scientists, technologist Eli Pariser shows how the problems we're encountering on digital platforms aren't all that new — and shares how, by following the model of thriving towns and cities, we can create trustworthy online communities.

That’s the ticket. Who would be against such a thing? “White people” aren’t included in this “greater good” by the way. Only the “Kunt Kult” matters…
@Difficultfuckhead sorry what?
The greater good, eh? I wonder where we’ve heard this before and how it turned out.
When Albert Sabin refused to patent his vaccine making it accessible to everybody?
Perhaps, when our ancestors came to the conclusion that a few hunters feeding the village was more efficient than having everybody hunt for themselves hundreds of thouasnds of years ago?
@Ramza Beoulves That doesn’t answer the question, but it’s a good point.
@Ramza Beoulves Your argument is contingent on one central premise – free choice. If someone decides to act magnanimously from a position of free will i think that’s wonderful and should be lauded. But if their voice or position is being manipulated, coerced, censured, forced, taxed (beyond reason) or gaslit in order to achieve a presumably “good end” that’s not virtue. That’s force. And force always results in counter-force. This is a metaphysical axiom that has proven true time and time again. Ignore it at your own peril.
As long as others can choose what is truthful for the masses then we’ll not know the truth.

Everything is a lie. Pedogate is real, and a good place to start if you want the truth. Check out TEDs pro pédôphilé videos

We are gettimg pushed apart by social media striving for the greater good
I deleted all my social media accounts 4 years ago. It doesn‘t give anything good.
@Gods Autobiographynope. He’s been gone 4 years and it’s only getting worse. Maybe it’s you.
Youtube is part of that social media bubble.
such a slippery slope.
Why is it that whenever someone mentions “The greater good”, they’re asking you to overlook some heinous or unacceptable action to achieve this “greater good”?
Remember too, when folkn s talk of the greater good, they nean their good…not that of society.
These platforms facilitate the mob nonsense in the forum. They use the energy and support provided by the modes and means of living and mearly take when they do not control the “kids” of all ages who behave wrongly, for whatever reasons. Right now they have incentive for it in the advertising medel. That needs to change. Just for a start.
Tau empire has entered the chat.
Social media companies have no business meddling in Society, politics, policy or medicine.
or…. you could just get rid of the anonymity. By “like the cities” does he mean like the housing projects? They didn’t go so well over time.
Ah, I see that most commenters are continuing the time-honored tradition of giving their opinions based off the title of the video without actually addressing anything mentioned in it.
This dude: Mentions burning man in first sentence.
Me: Yes tell me all about the greater good
