The United States can create a more humane immigration system; in fact, it's been done before, says policy analyst David J. Bier. Pointing to the historical success of the US guest worker program, which allows foreign workers to legally enter and work in the country, Bier shows why expanding the program to Central Americans could alleviate the border crisis and provide new opportunities for immigrants.

You better believe that the Koch bros and the CATO institute are all for “guest workers” whom we give the “amazing privilege” of working for us at low wages.
The key phrase here is – *”CROSSING ILLEGALLY!” The rest is propaganda. Don’t fall for it.

One way or another, a “guest worker” is a scab: It is a worker that is not entitled all the benefits of the host nation, but still offers its labor to the nation’s industrialists. Everywhere else on earth, they know it only helps wealthy capitalists. Only in America can you re-brand the exploitation of workers on the basis of their birth nation in this way.

Every country in the Western world at some point had to fight for their human rights, poor countries will have to do no less. But the issue is not just about visa or economics. Mass migration will change the racial and cultural identity of the USA forever and this is not acceptable as it means destroying the way of life of the people who currently live there. The South Americans will have to fix their own problems in their own home in order to have a future.

Why doesn’t Juan Carlos Rivera, stay and join with other people in his country who agree with him, and fix his country. You’re saying it ‘separates families’. In Mexico, ‘travel agents’ rent human trafficked children, or just plain sell the children that crossers use to gain sympathy. The Border agents have tested the DNA of many children and find that they’re not related to the person who brings them across. The children’s parents are still in Mexico or further south, wondering how they can find their child that was stolen for resale. A small child is sold for $10,000 and this is happening every minute of every day. A virgin girl goes for extra. Selling children and Human Trafficking is the fastest growing and more lucrative than drugs. Wake up.
Guest visas might work if we didn’t have birthright citizenship and chain migration, but alas. These “guests” stay, and their children vote.

It’s determined by the popular opinion, living standards, resources, housing, etc, etc.
People have the right to determine how many people enter into their countries.
ObscureNemesis idk bout you, but I live in a city. San Francisco to be exact, and we have reached our capacity long ago. Most immigrants move to the big cities, crowd into tiny apartments in immigrant neighborhoods, and just exist like that forever in most cases. Some don’t even bother to learn the language. This raises all native’s rent and keeps wages low. Meanwhile the very same liberals who are in favor of mass immigration live in gated communities and refuse to let development happen because “not in my backyard.”

To be honest. I’m agree that diversity can be a strength. But only when the ones in question are willing to adapt to the country’s morals and laws. It is true that US was formed from different cultures but what united them is that they all called themselves Americans and for the most part had the same values, if you did not you were an outcast or not tolerated. Most immigrants in europe are not educated, they do not respect the western values or bearly or at all respects the laws, and why would they? They are being tolerate just as they are, they are not forced to adapt in order to survive in the new environment.
Diversity has been a constant source of strength for the most part of US history. Just ask the descendants of Brits and Germans living in the states…
