But Earth orbit isn't an unlimited resource, and the problem of space debris will get worse without a substantial change to our behavior. Natalie Panek challenges us to think about the environmental impact of the satellites we count on. Our orbital environment is breathtakingly stunning and our gateway to exploration, she says.
