    • This is just women justifying their asymmetric right to be more of the bullies that they really are. Passive aggressive, or outright transparent.

    • viewsandrates The speaker demonizes men as a whole. The majority of people don’t agree physically moving another person is OK. This woman is just pushing a 3rd wave feminist agenda, not seeking equality for both genders.

    • +Spencer Oldham

“No matter how friendly and obliging a woman’s Eros may be, no logic on earth can shake her if she is ridden by the animus”

    • How reductive. A woman can be at fault for being in a man’s way at the same time a man can be at fault for inappropriately getting physical with a woman. They are neither mutually exclusive or diametrically opposed.

    • how about: person 1 unknowingly stands in the way of something person 2 wants then person 2 proceeds to physically move person 1 instead of politely asking person 1 to move. Person 2 was clearly not raised well 🙂

    • It was anecdotal. That doesn’t mean it was unrelatable or devoid of truth. People do have that happen to them. It’s not like she claimed a statistic. She says it happens and it’s wrong, which is fairly easy to understand. You don’t need a peer reviewed study to tell a personal story others can relate to.

    • Feelings and statistical facts can’t coexist. This is why modern feminism is uprising; because it plays to emotions instead of actual statistical researched facts.

    • Feelings and statistical facts can coexist. The latter can inform the former or the former can lead to the latter. I think what you’re attempting to say is that feelings cannot substitute facts. Also btw fyi, feelings can even be facts when acquiring qualitative data.

    • viewsandrates I accept your truth and stand corrected! Feelings alone can not substitute facts when those feelings are rooted in inaccuracy.

    • Show me the % of men committing the act she described. Tell me what % of the population agrees with the conduct.Yelling how you feel is too simplistic to demand sweeping societal changes.

  1. Bit of an over reaction. If someone physically moved me to get something I was blocking I would say “Oh sorry, didn’t realize I was blocking that”. The end.

    • @Punxatowny even if it was “an overreaction” as you put it with prejudice(see because you weren’t there, and we’re talking about an older woman here); do you seriously think that manhandling of women does not frequently take place everywhere? It does. I’m a man and I’ve SEEN it happen to two of my sisters. Also, please don’t counter it with “but but there are also gentlemen who treat women with respect” because that’s Ad Hominem.

    • @Punxatowny I feel like the point here was that he moved her as if he was entitled to do so, like it was his right. Don’t you think that’s at least kind of wrong?

    • What she fails to acknowledge is that post office granny is perturbed that this fine young man didn’t grind his semi-erection up against her buxom after he laid his hands on her hips. In the old days he was expected to “move” her into the back of his ’57 Chevy, for some heavy petting, and then follow up with a soda-pop and popcorn at the drive-in.

    • @Inga Kommentarer no that wasn’t all i heard.i heard a lot of other dumb stuff . but this was the summation of what was said.

    • Sal Latora it’s not that every man is sexist, but the vast majority of women feel the sexism therefor it could occur like men are sexist

    • Sal Latora sounds like you are doing an even better job creating problems, if you aren’t sexist I think you might understand, but guessing by your tone, you are sexist, so when women assume you specifically are they probably aren’t wrong, and it sounds like that hurts your ego

    • Remember when people used logic and their own observations of the world to attatch credibility to talks about social issues. Yeah. Please do that man.

    • It still is, they are ideas worth sharing even if they have a narrative you don’t agree with. I’ve seen Talks I don’t agree with, I still trust TED to have thought provoking ideas

    • +aditya hol You mean use observations of one person to make (unsupported and false) judgements about the whole of society?

    • The Fuzz hasn’t it already started? There are a lot of single good looking women out there crying because they can’t find a man to put up with them (except for white knights, male feminists or feminizers… Are these soyboys even men? )… It’s typical to hear of a woman complain about these things when their actions and victimhood/empowerment narrative is literally the thing hurting their prospects for a bright happy future. If only men’s rights activists/advocates were seen as defenders of womanhood… because by combating the ideological scourge of Feminism, they are.

    • One question, What are men’s rights that need advocation. I mean besides the general human rights for men and women, what is specific to men?

  2. Tracee Ellis Ross could not have said this any better. This is the same conversation that I was having with my sisters. Men are absolutely responsible for how they behave and the change begins within them. At first, I thought “eh, it’s not that big of a deal. He moved her. Just laugh at it” but then what she was saying makes sense. Those tiny moments symbolize how women are used and abused. Majority of cases you hear of human trafficking is of young girls and women. You’ve heard countless stories of women being beaten in domestic violence scenarios. This tiny case of her friend being moved just represents the larger picture.

    • Good luck ever having a man place his hands on your hips. Especially black females who already are having trouble getting a man. Just sayin’. When I lived in urban communities, they couldn’t keep their hands off me. I never even needed to place my hands on them, it was always the other way around.

    • Lol. I’m so fed up with this group politics that suggests that everyone from a certain group behaves a certain way. Not only is it wrong, but it’s downright prejudice. Also, the heavy majority of domestic violence is committed by women against their husbands or boyfriends(who are usually too scared to admit it) but, due to biological facts, men can cause more serious harm in the cases when they do attack. It is a myth that men are oppressors of women; that’s not only wrong but also a Marxist way of thinking. Men and women are different. Both have problems. All this victimisation is only marginalising the problems that men face and blowing women’s problems way out of proportion. When a feminist says they care about equality, that’s a lie. They don’t even acknowledge that men face, at least, equally important problems and all they want is a system that allows them to gain access to the top of hierarchies without having to work for it by saying that it’s because of oppression instead of work. It’d be nice to see people who actually want to help everyone, for once.

    • Women batter men more than men batter women, but men are criminally charge at a highly disproportionate rate. This is facts! Don’t let modern feminism confuse your mind. I’m not saying any battering or abuse is okay, but the agenda is to make women feel like men have this toxic masculinity, where the only men women will feel safe around is feminine men. If you know anything about biology, women do not, nor should they, respect a beta feminized male.

    • I expect this to be a very controversial topic that flares up a lot of emotions, but, all men are not terrible and all women do not let things fly by. However, in general, men need to have more respect for women. Not all men are disrespectful. Not all cases of abuse and trafficking or whatever else is about women and girls only. Yes, it happens a to boys as well. But, in today’s society, women are not respected. We have shifted from that notion. Our young boys are growing up thinking that it’s okay to just look at a woman anyway they please. Young girls are growing up thinking it’s okay to settle for less and not value themselves. There are men out there who understands the value of a woman and will not ask her to lower her standards. There are men who will step up to the plate to do whatever it takes to honor a woman. And, on the contrary, there are women who have lowered their value simply because “it’s hard to find a good man.” That’s some women’s issue. It’s not okay to feel like you have to compromise your self worth to find a man who will respect you or just to settle for less than you deserve. Some of you just need to sit down and analyze what Tracee is saying here.

  3. I almost can’t believe the knee jerk reactions of most guys in the comments. It’s likely most did not listen to the whole talk. It’s guaranteed they don’t comprehend the talk. The question is why and did they even try?

The perfect case in point is they guys who say they would react aggressively to a man grabbing them to move them. These guys don’t have the empathy or intelligence to put themselves in the place of the woman, who is fearful because that is the ingrained response for her. _And the very odd thing is that this is the experience of their sisters and mothers, their cousins and aunts their wives._ You brave, insightful, brilliant guys need to explain to me how it is you let your family be subjected to this.

I think it’s all posturing and hot air.

    • There are infinite anecdotes of both men and women wronging one another. Telling a story about one to make sweeping claims about half the population is idiotic and agenda driven. Picking and choosing who is seen as a victim is a very dangerous game, especially when you are not in power.

    • +Brenda Rua You have no argument, so instead you plum for personal insults. The sad part is, you probably think you’re morally superior. Not because of your actions, but simply through holding a certain set of beliefs (that you almost certainly cannot justify).

    • All I ever see is the vast exaggeration of women’s problems and the blatant disregard of the (at least) equal issues that men face. How about you show some empathy, Brenda.

    • Brenda Rua I didn’t appreciate her patronizing tone at 2:15 where she says ” I can feel the men getting a little bit uncomfortable. It’s okay. Stay with me”

I will continue watching to the end of the video. However, if women want to communicate with men, they can’t patronize us. That’s going to piss us off.

  4. Doesn’t matter what gender you are, if you’re blocking something I need and I’ve asked you to move and you won’t move or pay attention, I’m moving you.
