Your love for yoga as a spiritual practice is intoxicating and inspiring! It makes me want to stop what I’m doing and get on my mat. Thank you! One day I’m going to go to Miami and visit your life center!
+fruitandpetals That’s so awesome!
Thank you for this video, actually for all videos but this one really hit home as I used to look for things outside me to be happy, to be whole. I am a single mom with three small children and I usually practice before everyone wakes up but I have a hard time concentrating as I find myself looking at my watch so that I’m not late for breakfast, school dropping, work, etc… I feel sometimes that I am not getting the most out of my practice. Any suggestions? Namaste
+lulis trulis It’s awesome that you’re getting up and practicing!!! Just do as much as you can and trust that it’s enough. Even fives minutes of deep breathing and concentrated focus can shift the vibration of the mind and keep the heart open.
Thank you so much Kino for taking your time. Today I didn’t practice in the morning because I’m taking a class in the afternoon after work. So I’m doing as much as I can. Hope I am able to travel cross country to Monterrey to meet you in October. Much love and gratitude.
Hey, Kino, I was following you for quite a while and i love what you share with us on your channel. But one thing was itching me: form time to time you spread the idea of exploring yourself OPPOSED to exploring around yourself (“trying to stuff myself, to fill me up to be whole person” you say with kinda negative tone in this particular video).
I strongly disagree with such opinion. Person is built form experience he obtained through his life. It can be spiritual experience of looking inside yourself or knowledge gained through exploring the world, both is good, no need to deny latter.
As of myself, I tend to look around much more that inside: I’m engineer and so i read a lot of professional literature, i also play drums and explore all possible genres of music, i practice yoga, play games and watch movies… I’m trying to absorb as much as possible and it feels right and enlightening to me, definitely not as something bad like filling myself with junk.
Best ever. Thank you for being open and honest. Beautiful. Practice is a prayer, and this video reminds me of the power of the practice. Thank you.
Amazing message – thank you Kino.
+Healing and Alignment Center Thanks for watching!
Kino, I can’t thank you enough for posting these videos! They inspire me to continue practicing even though sometimes I can be lazy 🙁 Thank you again and I’m sending good vibes to your father’s way!!!!
Hi Kino ,
What exercise do you recommend for gluteus medius in terms of strengthening and stretches ???
Thanks
thank you for the knowledge you have gain along the path. may radha always bless you
Finally a message I’ve been waiting for and have been needing to hear. Thank you for sharing your courage and strength with us
Kino,
This is exactly what I needed to hear today. I have been practicing the Primary Series for a year now, and it’s been healing my own mental wounds very slowly. There are days when the only time I feel alright is when I’m on my mat, and it inspires me to return to my practice when I feel down. I’ve been going through a very depressed time as of the past few weeks, and I find myself sleeping in instead of going to my Ashtanga class, which I would never do with a healthy mindset. The only way that I’ve found to get out of periods like this is to be open and honest, and always do the opposite of what my mind says (for example, going to yoga instead of staying in bed). Thanks so much for your inspiring words, I am more motivated to get on my mat today, and will keep your message in mind in the hard days to come.
+mtaylor362 Awesome! Keep practicing 🙂
You are a beautiful soul, Kino. Thanks for sharing that with us!
This is very similar to my own experience with depression and yoga. The more I practice, the more I open my heart to deeper expressions of love, for myself and others. Thank you so much for speaking this truth. Light <3
Thank you for posting this. I also have dealt with bouts of depression throughout my life since I was 21. I came to yoga as part of my therapy. It helped me sleep and give me strength to work through the depression. Your videos are amazing and thank you for being so candid. Namaste Kino 🙂
Kino! that was so beautiful!! you have touched my heart just now while listening to you, I needed to hear this 🙂 thank you thank you! Namaste.
Hi, your videos give very valuable advice.
If you don’t mind I was wondering if the background music could be kept at a lower level
It is through a period of depression that I found yoga, first as a momentarily place to forget and then more and more as the way to crawl out of the deep dark hole.
It is incredible how yoga creeps on me like that. I started ashtanga a couple months ago, and with the increasing physical strength, the mental strength follows. The realisation of the profound connection between the body and the mind (and hopefully one day the soul too) is the motivation to continue going on this path of light.
I hope that one day that feeling of entitlement to happiness will come too.
It shows how disappointments and broken hearts are the fertile ground for spiritual journeys.
Thank you for sharing this video, it gives me hope for more to come in this journey.
Okay, this music choice was a little distracting.
Hi Kino,
how long would you say it took you to start feeling the depression lifted after practicing yoga?
I love yoga thanks yogi wollcom Nadia Mayapur mam
