  1. Wise words but unfortunately the world is both good and bad from the earliest Cain And Abel! The greatest is Love! If the world loved there neighbour as themselves the world would be at peace! Have a good day x

  2. Though Kino is trying to impress others, she unfortunately does not even realize what she is doing. The Yoga Sutras are part of the Shad Darsanas or six orthodox systems of Hindu philosophy. The Saiva, Hindu Guru Patanjali, who wrote these Sanskrit Sutras, was teaching Hindu, Male, Celibates. The Astanga portion is only one small part of the overall Sutras and they have nothing to do with any specific physical posture. In fact, an honest read of the Yoga Darsana reveals that it is designed to take one deep within and beyond the material world. Therefore, what Jois, Kino and others do is totally dishonest to the spirit of these Hindu sutras. The truth is that real Yoga is all about Hindu Dharma (Hindu religion), taught only by qualified Hindus and not for a fee. All those interested in true Hindu/Yoga should do the right thing–become Hindus and then (after much training) maybe teach. To not adhere to this ethical standard is to make a sad joke out of trying to speak about Ahimsa, Satya and Asteya, etc. If one does not have enough compassion to respect the Hindu/Yoga Dharma and real Yogis, they should just stop pretending to teach.

    • What an unhappy and lonely life you must lead Friend . Try reading Yoga Mala by Jois, or one of Kinos excellent books before your are so quick to cast stones in Kino’s loving Pond.

  3. I first learned the word “ahimsa” from you, following my decision to go vegan. It is such an important concept to me now that I got it tattooed in sanskrit on my arm. A reminder to be kind to myself, to others and to the planet

    • Kara Camille Delonas so glad Kino mentioned non-violence towards other beings regardless of species! Drives me nuts when other yoga teachers aren’t even vegan – murdering animals for food, clothing etc. clearly isn’t ahimsa!

  4. the last yoga retreat i attended, the cook came to the opening circle and asked how many vegetarians and vegans. there were one of each out of 30 yogis and teachers. in situations like that I realize my ahimsa practice is to suspend judgment. . . im still working on it obviously. thank you for these Beautiful videos.
