  1. i was good at balancing the should and want self by doing all my homework in a secluded quiet room in my university library, but with the pandemic, I’m stuck at home and find myself procrastinating more.

    • well being here is the first step, because you become conscious of the fact.
I try and eliminate every distraction I have when I am supposed to work from home, sometimes it helps me to sit on the floor or in the kitchen.

    • Just listen at the end to the list of persons who are involved to create this 17 minute video.
If there are necessary 15 persons to create 17 minute of this kind of content, then we can go to 2 day work week and still there will be time to spend on Facebook.

    • Many people do well working in 30 to 90 minute blocks, then taking a short 5-10 minute break. Research tells us we become significantly less productive and learn less after working for 3 hours without a break. Experiment to find what time blocks work for you. I usually work in 45-60 minute chunks.

  2. Well now with Covid 19 I have too much time, at the end of the day all I did was playing video games And I have work to deliver next week.

  3. You are still confusing productivity and efficiency. Doing the same work in shorter time isn’t productivity. Productivity is doing the right thing. The fact that one does less social media scrolling doesn’t make the rest of the work the right thing to do.
For example this topic is in line with my mission, so it’s not procrastination and it’s productivity. For those who are not focused on this, who are watching it, for them this is procrastination and unproductive. Objectively anything is productive if it’s in line with nature’s way. If it has an impact that’s supporting how life evolved, it’s productive, if it doesn’t it’s unproductive.

    • Is building nuclear bombs that are more powerful than last years model, so that they are able to effectively kill more people at greatet distances, productive or non productive?

    • Yeah I added this to a list that I’ll watch later, just decided to check the comments real quick first for some reason. I’ll check out this video sometime later, likely never knowing myself.

  4. I used to procrastinate a lot on exercise, until I got a lot better at it, and stronger. So I guess I procrastinate to avoid feelings of incompetence.
