Nathan Countryman what do you mean. Warren buffet is one of the few rich people that doesn’t have a greedy mindset. I can’t speak for the others on the list but he doesn’t mind paying more in taxes to pay for certain things. In fact he thinks it’s necessary. That doesn’t seem like it would make him more rich.

CuriousFurious58 a medicare for all system would cost us significantly less and it would cover basically everyone. And to say it’s inferior quality care is false. It’s been proven false. Even conservatives in other countries support a single payer system because it covers more people and it costs less money. Small businesses don’t have that burden on them anymore so they can worry about paying their workers more adequately.

you see i am of the theory that it has been 50 years since vaccines did something amazing, and if there was another huge breakthrough of vaccines curing a bad disease people may change opinion, and the reverse that we get the _’What have you done for me lately(s)’_ then go looking for side effects that are minor compared to the good done…
Thanks Stephanie Civic for your thoughts on this… it was a rhetorical question, so it was only intended to give us something to think of, i was delving into the risk/benefit ratio.

I kinda think vaccines have been a good temporary curbing measure, but cancer is a natural self destruct system built into the body that will only be finally cured when we get to the scientific point that we can GMO cancer out of our genetic makeup.
That would be a few lifetimes from now and we would need to be well acquainted with a process used to battle smaller issues first.
Imagine once humankind has enough robotic technology that we could modify ourselves to the size of ants and never have starvation or homelessness…

Smallpox and polio are not the problems they once were, but if new strains should emerge, I would certainly have the concerns about safety, reliability, and effectiveness against them, that I have against existing vaccines. Quality has been badly compromised, adulteration (with mercury, aluminum, and other toxins which DON’T BELONG there ever!) is commonplace, legal remedies are increasingly difficult and expensive, and worst of all, individual and family CHOICE is under state attack, both in the USA and around the world.
The FDA, CDC, Veteran’s Administration, and other health authorities are NOT upholding their responsibilities to the public (and honest healthcare professionals), the way that they should be. This is even worse in many countries outside the USA.
Under current and foreseeable circumstances, I would indeed be VERY reluctant to be vaccinated, and would strongly encourage anybody else to get the facts before doing so, even if new strains of polio or smallpox should emerge. I would change my mind if-and when- better manufacturing standards, full disclosure, and truth-in-advertising, product inspection, quality control, and legal remediation could be restored.
If this makes me a “non-vaxer”, I suppose I am one-and will continue to be until these cited problems are solved to my satisfaction.

I am one year too young to have needed the small pox shot, they declared small pox beat. But if it ever re-emerges it would be in a weaponized form that the vaxes wouldn’t prevent.

The annual vax would worry me, but the ones children get… seems to me like childhood death rates are down steady ever since they started giving vaccines…

Do what you will, but be sure to inform yourself of increasing risks and dangers, as well as their (promised) benefits. The health, even the life, you save may be your own or a loved one. It is distressing to think that a technology that once saved lives now threatens them( on a global scale), but this, unfortunately, is the world we live in!
