Across America, the anti-Bill Murray campaign can be heard in sermons and seen on signs outside of churches. Various Christian groups have said they will not be supporting Murray in the 2016 Presidential Election, which Murray entered last week, and they urge others to follow.
Murray has been clear with reporters on his religious views. “Religion is the worst enemy of mankind. People can believe whatever they choose to believe, but it does not belong in politics. It imprisons your mind. Religion creates hate, racism, bigotry and keeps you from your true potential in life. No single war in the history of humanity has killed as many people as religion has.”
Murray says he expected not to be backed by religious groups. “I imagine I probably won’t be too popular with the Christian vote in this country, but I’m fine with that.”
Still Murray has a small but vocal following who says he does not need the support of the religious right in the election. Paul Horner, a spokesman for the campaign says,“He’s a living legend and is exactly what America needs right now.”

At least he is not one of those annoying Hollywood actors advocates trying to push his views on politics constantly or threatening our president like we see so many Hollywood actors today. jasmine k I agree with you 100% Bill Murray is actually a very smart man and just the fact that he has survived and kept his sanity for so many years in hollywood circles with out selling out makes him relevant. With age comes wisom and i can only imagine what he really knows after all the tv and movies and events and parties he’s definitely been around. All these illegal immigrants are just cheap labor so that companies dont have to pay a living wage. Look at the homeless in CA that have good jobs but still cant afford the outrageous rent. Its because these Mexicans and SOuth Americans pack their family into a house and get those 30k a yr jobs that should be paying 50k. I work in a medical lab outside Wash DC that has lots of Asians living together and Hispanics groped up. They pool their salaries together so if they have 5 living in a house they are bringing 150k into the household where the American living by himself is making 30k and cant afford living in a high cost of living area where rent is 1200-2000 a month.

I’ve always felt that Bill Murray has been forced to ‘play his part’ in the elite system (aka dress up as a female on movies/talk shows/not rock the boat w/certain people in positions of power), but that deep down he was never 100% on board. Seeing him speak out gives me hope that he never fully succumbed to their beast system.
