Saturday night activities during SXSW in Austin, Texas devolved into open drug use, prostitution, public urination and defecation. Infowars reporter Millie Weaver even got a contact high from illegal drugs while trying to conduct interviews and it was NOT marijuana. She approached two Austin police officers out of concern. While having the camera running pointed at the ground, she was able to get the conversation on record. According to Austin police, "if we went in there, and started making arrests, the judges would dismiss every single one of them. The prosecutors wouldn't even prosecute that crap… you know how liberal this place is. Welcome to our world". Thus, to protect the interests of SXSW, law enforcement turned a blind eye to open illegal acts in the streets thereby turning Austin into a sh*thole.
