The US government can’t legally pass a law that outlaws guns and gives them the authority to confiscate them. The US Constitution specifically forbids ex post facto laws, so if the government were to attempt that, they then become an illegitimate governing body under the US Constitution. All actions made in the pursuit of such a law would be criminal acts, and the persons committing such acts, criminals that the populace would need to defend themselves against with whatever means necessary. IMHO.

I’m glad I live in Oklahoma where I can literally go into a gun store, show my ID (to prove I’m of age), get a background check, wait for everything to come back clean, and get my gun that same day, because I’m actually a law abiding citizen, who doesn’t want to commit mass murder, because I’m not on psychotropic drugs that make me want to kill people and commit suicide.
sounds the same as here in Australia, only we do a course to make sure we can use them before giving us one and the process is probably 3 weeks at best for paperwork return, but if law abiding citizen nothing stopping you from owning a gun through the right avenues here either.

From a legal standpoint they do not have the authority to make laws repugnant to the Constitution. Therefore if that happens they should not be recognized as a legal and legitimate, legal system.
The Constitution was the original contract between we the people and the government. They have willingly violated that agreement and now are in danger of becoming illegitimate.
Im from nj they have had on the books since the sixties the most unconstitutional guns laws in the country and yet nothing is done.
But they ARE recognised. In N.C. you must file for a purchase permit and wait 45 days just to buy one. Been like that for a long time here. I hate it. It’s dumb. Serves no purpose.

Anyone, be it government or otherwise making an unlawful entry into anyone’s home is subject under the Rule of Law to be met with Deadly Force. If you’re a police officer reading this I urge you to seriously reconsider WHAT you’re doing, and WHOM you’re with, because we are seasoned in warfare, and the art of killing.
