Wait, I’m kinda confused. Did he say no society would send their hero’s off to war, with a semi automatic weapon? Last time I checked, M16’s & M4’s are semi-automatic weapons. The only thing that makes them different is the 3 burst selection on the weapons. I’m all for gun rights, but I was confused when he said that right there.
Jonathan Burnett The M16 and M4 are select fire weapons. The AR-15 is semi automatic. It was designed and built for the civilian market. ArmaLite licensed and later sold it patent rights to Colt. Colt with Stoner built off the AR 15 platform and designed the M16 for the Air Force in 1963. The M16 was never offered as a semi only variant to the US military.

Well technically you’re wrong. It’s not a semi automatic weapon. It’s a selective fire weapon that can fire on semi automatic. Some versions have full auto and some burst along with semi auto. Pretty sure they mostly use the burst one now but I’m not sure on that. But both versions do exist. They should make one that has three select fire options. Semi auto, burst, and auto. Lol that be cool

We must be or become Gun Owner’s, but we must also be educated & trained in all aspects (Safety, Operation, Schematic’s, etc.) of Arms, Gun’s included.
Police & Marine National Guardsmen should begin a program all over the country, for all schools to include a mandatory curriculum in Firearms & Firearms Safety. Classes on the subject should begin in the first or second grade & go all the way through High School. These classes should be coupled with reading and understanding our Constitution for the united states of America.
Why do Colleges & Universities fail to offer student’s classes in Firearms Safety & all that comes along with it? ANSWER? Perhaps it’s as George Carlin pointed out: “There’s a reason Education SUCKS, it’s the same reason it will never be fixed, the real owners of the country only want, OBEDIENT WORKER’S! They don’t want a population that is capable of critical thinking!”
