Elliot – It is impossible to explain why having basic human rights is so critical to neocons. They will support bombings and sanctions that result in thousands of innocent children being killed and severely injured for the sake of them “feeling” safer. There was a time I wondered how could so many people in Germany have supported Hitler, but the neocons make it clear how such horrific things can be supported in today’s world.
Fact is we are in much more danger of dying in a car wreck making one trip to the supermarket than ever being harmed by a terrorists. Yet the neocons love to fear monger and tell us we are in SOOOO much danger to keep the military industrial complex fed. Look at every conflict after WWII, we never attack any country that actually presents any real danger to us, rather we only attack very weak and poor countries that pose no risk.

Ginger Hancock – You do realize some have been proven innocent after false confessions due to repeated water boarding and other “enhanced integration techniques” right? Even our own government has told us that the info gained has been extremely unreliable. We don’t put them to trial because in most cases we don’t have proper evidence to convict.
Your argument is very flawed as well. You are saying that you are certain all detained at Guantanamo are 100% guilty with no mistakes, yet they get no trial, no defence while you claim we imprison many innocent people who get a trial, a defence attornty to defend themselves. In your world cops could be jury and judge and we would have no innocent people going to jail…
