You have to ask yourself why people get upset about what you say. Is it because you are confronting them with facts and truth or has it more to do with you challenging their perception of their views. I believe it is the latter and the first combined. These people know deep down that their opponent is right and the gut reaction is to either fight or flight… Usually fight verbally. That is why we see bully tactics and name calling than actual discussing evidence or how they see that. Thus they are scared. Usually these people have a certain black/white vision of the world rather than being open to change your viewpoint when evidence is brought up that might indicate that your perspective should be adjusted.

I’ve heard that before, also without a source. But it was from an elitist, establishment-type friend of mine. He’s more obsessed with ideology than anything. It is that same demographic, in my experience, that cannot distinguish between authenticity and superficiality.
If your comment was directed at me, what part of my comment were you talking about? Are you talking about the US Constitution being one of the biggest problems? If you are, you need not look any further than the Anti Federalist papers. They are the papers that compile the arguments the founding fathers who were against the ratifying of the constitution made way back in 1788. The anti federalist are the same group of founding fathers you can thank for the bill of rights, it was there criticism that lead to the bill of rights being amended to the constitution. Every argument they made against the constitution, everything they said the constitution would lead to, has come true in spades. They even predicted the Civil War would happen exactly like it happened.
