Klash716 soldiers need a different level of training than those who are using a gun for self defense since the people the guns are being used against have massively different levels of training. An opposing soldier will be moderately to well trained and criminals will usually have little to no training therefore a small amount of training and common sense is all that is necessary to prepare for them.
Klash716 my daughter is a teacher and has her license. She would be very capible in a situation such as this and it beats lying in the gloor and watching people die with no way of defending herself or her students.
Reformed Christian ..Most schools have security, and they should be armed, though all are not. Not sure about teachers being armed, since they are just there to teach. But, teachers are citizens who can have the right to carry, though most schools are gun free zones, so I guess teachers wouldn’t be allowed to bring it in. It is the job of the school to provide proper security and not the job of the teachers though. Teachers have to deal with enough crap then to also have to be the security

on a day full of love, two killers opened fire at a school in a state full of gorgeous bikini women, but one thing i have a problem with about trumps statement, the part where “the parents shouldn’t have to worry for their kids”, not exactly something i rather want and heres why:
1. when we look at the florida shooting as potential for a “false flag op” one thing remains clear, the 2nd amendment is suppressed in schools across the country. its illegal to my knowledge, for any public school in the us, to allow students, teachers and staff to have a gun. not only has it been constantly proven to be dangerous and lethal. in a crisis like this, one thing remains clear, we MUST go back to the constitution when it comes to our schools. criminals do NOT care about laws!
2. lets not only repeal gun free zones in our schools, lets actually start training teachers how to use any firearm and all the staff in every school in this country should have at least one firearm, and a gun safe in case of a “active shooter”.
3. finally, in a republic, the price of liberty and freedom is internal vigilance. there is no “wrong think” nor is there “right think”, only the truth and lies. gun free zones should be repealed, our teachers, professors and school or campus staff should all be armed.
that is all.
while i won’t be betting on that, mainly because the democrats would want to hold onto any power they have left, its a wonder they have power at all.
Teachers are allowed to have guns at school in Texas if they have proper training and a CC License.
hmm… from what i saw from going to a pretty rural school in tennessee, its not legal to have a firearm… but i guess everything regarding gun control laws is all at the state level.
