SHIITAKE MUSHROOM RECIPE
1 tablespoon oil
1 pound shiitake mushrooms cleaned, trimmed, and sliced
1/4 cup diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper
sliced green onion
Instructions
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, add oil to the pan.
Once the oil is hot, add in the shiitake mushrooms and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the mushrooms have become golden brown.
Add in onion, garlic, salt, and pepper and sauté for another five minutes, just long enough to take the raw edge off of the onions and garlic.
Top with chopped green onion and serve! Enjoy.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much I LOVE making shiitake mushrooms. I hope you give this recipe a try soon! Enjoy – XO, Dani
Hi Dani !!!!!!! So good to see you. Love this vid – next time I cook mushrooms it will be the Dani way – garlic and onions in at the end. As for me, on top of my pizza is my fave way to enjoy mushrooms 🙂 Stay safe xox

@Peace for Paz Cool, thanks for sharing.
How do you like to make your mushrrooms? 🙂
@Clean & Delicious Usually sautee the garlic in butter or oil first then add the mushrooms – bit of salt, that’s pretty much it. Gonna try your method though!
That looks delicious. Will definitely try
So glad you plan to give this a try, enjoy!
The mushrooms look amazing and delicious
They are both, promise!
thank you Dani, love the veggies, God bless you for what you do, also keeping it healthy always, much Love
It’s my pleasure! Thanks for watcihng.
I tried my first lion mane mushroom, that was interesting when you are t use to eating mushrooms in the first place. Also the farmers market had mushrooms that were like beef jerky. Really good
I get it! There are SO many varieties of mushrooms… it’s really incredible.
I love mushrooms. I FINALLY made your green beans and shrimp recipe a couple of Sundays ago. I didn’t have cayenne so used red pepper flakes instead and even added them to the shrimp. It was delicious. I usually sauté shrimp since they cook up so quickly. From now on I’ll take the extra few minutes to roast them.
YAY! I’m so glad you tried it… I love that recipe as well! It’s so easy, too!
@Clean & Delicious Yes, and I can swap out the green beans for different veggies. I never knew roasted shrimp tasted so good. I wish I could eat shrimp almost every day. Also, I made the chocolate cherry oatmeal muffins last Sunday for my breakfast all last week. I really enjoyed them. I get up for work really early and hate spending money eating food out, so they were perfect to grab and toss in the microwave to eat real quick.
Hey Dani, lovely video, something I will definitely try! I was wondering if you could, in a future fall video, show us how to make a healthy pumpkin bread? I haven’t had any pumpkin treats before and pumpkin bread is something I’ve always wanted to try.
That’s a great idea! I would love to 🙂
Love your channel – thank you for all these fab ideas!
Thank you! I’ so glad you are enjoying the recipes + tips 🙂
Most Def gonna try this! How do you season your cast iron? My doesn’t look quite like yours? or do you already have a video on this? Love your videos
Shitakes are my favorite mushroom! I love the creamy texture and earthy flavor. 🙂 I always include them in my homemade creamy mushroom soup. 🙂
The love I have for mushrooms. I usually wash mine dani but I love mine with pho, omelet or by themselves sauted with onions and tomatoes. Great video as always
Looks delicious Ill make them this weekend. Thank you for making this video.
Interesting that you added the onion and garlic after. Why is that different than sautéing them all together?
Nice recipe, looks so delicious, Thanks for sharing
