+assurdo888 I think the debates have been moving away from whether LGBT people are viewed as humans with all of the same basic rights. Even the most conservative people I know accept that they deserve self sovereignty, but the internet trolls and shitposters are always the louder voices.
The major battlegrounds now are the result of this lifestyle being IMPOSED on society: people trying to justify medical sex changes for increasingly younger children, the hysteria around pronoun use, the treatment of trans people as *biologically* identical to whatever they identify as. All of this surrounding a mental condition that we simply don’t understand very well at this point. I can see what you’re saying in a general sense, though.

More, let’s not forget that, even if the Romans or the Spartans were “authoritarian”, “proto-fascists”, whatever, they used to consider homosexuality normal at the point that teachers could demand oral sex from their pupils – i.e. rape them.
