Now all of Jeff’s friends are in Jail…
Good, glad them motherfuckers get whats coming to them.
I hope the block lattice style coins become more popular so power hungry mining goes away.
yes. proof of stake, delegated proof of stake, etc. Hopefully they prove just as secure.
Did Joby get robbed?
A lot of energy for mining.
Is bitcoin a sustainable and environmental friendly option?
Demetrios fr
No. And that is why Bitcoin will go to zero. Relative to the banking system, it’s extremely costly to transfer bitcoin (even excluding the cost of the exchanges).
If bitcoin replaced the current banking system for all transactions, it would consume the world’s entire energy supply. It is not going to happen. It won’t even come close. Satoshi Nakamoto was clearly not an engineer. His “mining” model is severely flawed.
BitClub?
Wish someone would do the math on the energy usage of all of the things that blockchain can replace. How much power do the planet’s banks with their cathedral-like outlets and their thousands of office towers use? How about the insurance offices, accountants and mints and freaking Wall Street? What about the commutes off all of those employees? Please, add to my list….. The energy usage complaint it FUD.
