50 Comments on The Bitcoin Vs. Bitcoin Cash Debacle – Jeff Berwick on World Alternative Media

  1. Bitcoin Cash is peer to peer currency, as Satoshi intended. The Segwit/Lightning hard fork deception will result in banker taker over of the channels as KYC-regulated “Custodians” very bad. It forces everyone to have Hot wallets as well as a myriad of other insolvable issues.

    • If that’s your criteria, then there are other alt coins much better then bitcoin cash, I find ir amazing that people think Satoshi was prepared for all the changes later on. It’s like the fore fathers of the constitution could foresee how the world would be hundreds of years later. Faulty thinking. Ver has no technical expertise and it shows when all you can think is increasing block size solves everything.

    • But the increasing size of the blockchain will lead to the centralization of mining since the average person can’t participate. So BTrash is not a solution. LTC is though

  2. yeh i hold only BCH but i also want to see where segwit and LN goes. but from my understanding its not a good solution to segregare the signature from the bitcoin and LN is still not working after 3 years…. and rumors the founder of LN has left the projects seems like a bad sign.

    BCH PLS 😉

  3. Bitcoin is a globalist scam to push people into readily adopting the new world order, cashless, digital currency. Acapulco is a crime ridden, cartel dominated, bankrupt, post tourist city that Jeff Berwick compulsively lies about, saying it’s some libertarian paradise. In reality of you don’t pay the cartel gangs a tax to do business, they will murder you. It’s a paradise for criminals run by the CIA.

    • Acapulco isn’t as bad as you think and for the most part (not always) but for the most part the cartels leave normal everyday folk alone there. if you’re not involved in gang activity you shouldn’t have a problem. also the CIA only works with some of the bigger cartels in Mexico, the Acapulco cartel is largely independent from any other influence.

    • kerry mcinnis what is even more alarming is how block chain is used by advanced decentralized AI…massive computing warehouses are being built to house the servers that the transactions are facilitated.

  4. stop fighting each other over stupid differences and unite already!
do you people not want the crypto revolution to win over the banking elites?

    • scaling debate or whatever debate is good and healthy.
BTC, BCH and a bunch of others are needed, each one with a purpose.
So, i’ll say it again, UNITE, dont fight.

    • BTC crown are already bought out by the bankers.
You cannot unite with them, they are the ones that created a rift in community by polluting information and attacking those that support Bitcoin system calling them centralised cartel, an other garbage. BTC is garbage.

    • not talking about “them” whoever “them” are. i’m talking about we the people….guess we’re not in the same line of thought…

    • Paulo, I see what you mean, but even there, I can’t see it happening as sad fact is that majority of people are brainwashed and lot of those are just fools, and portion of them are deliberately siding with them (bankers / Core / Blockstream) and put out propaganda for them. We the people are divided, and them (bankers / capitalists / globalists) know it works well, they use that tactics all the time.

    • exactly, we keep wasting time fighting each other like kids over things like which one is the best, like soccer teams.
that’s exactly what the elites want.

  5. Jeff is a perfect example of someone who is only bitching about government. You should be thankful for having learned to read, write and do math. Ok schools also indoctrinate to a certain degree. But that’s only very small, especially in the west!

    • everything they teach us in schools is lies you havnt woken up yet maybe you never will school is for conditioning us and make us think life is all about rules and we are ruled we even rule are selves as in you cant do that you cant do this its against the rules what rules rules compared to the controlled society we live in made up by the 1 percent it all starts from school Jeff Berwick is an inspiration he seems fair but his free cos he doesnt live by the rules from schools he broke free you judge him because your a prisoner of your own making becauase you are brainwashed by the goverment wich starts of by school rules wake up man free yourself try i bet you cant

  6. it is all going down as it is controlled by wall street now

compare gold 10 years chart and bitcoin chart…

identical mania pattern,,it is all over don’t buy into it

    enjoy your life

    • Also “1 floppy disk” per block – people need to remember that’s what people need to download (and upload) and store for eternity EVERY TEN MINUTES. That number has to be minimal. Scaling MUST necessarily involve another layer on top of a trusted uncompromised backbone.

    • users can be users. only miners need to download it. and large data centers have good bandwith and RAID mining node setups, not useless PI3s. you could even sell a copy of the chain on a large storage and ship it at some point and sync it when needed.

    • Miners and large data centers all can and will easily be shut down by governments. You don’t even have to go back 20 years in the days of e-gold when they were doing just that. We cannot truly have sovereignty without at least the option of running a node. If the backbone network of the future financial system is out of our hands how is that different from today?

Plus, worldwide onchain scaling can never happen anyway. I didn’t intend to reopen this debate. All I want to know is, with the asic-boost bug still in bcash, how can anyone take it seriously even if it did deliver everything else?

  7. Jeff, I would like to bring it to your attention the currency of freedom! PIVX. Why? Because with BTC, BCH, etc, we are at the mercy of miners. With PIVX, you only need a standard laptop and 1 PIV in order to run the whole network! Without the need for miners or anything. Transaction are a fraction of a cent and also free transactions! It doesn’t use miners, instead, people leave their wallet open and it runs the network. Please check it out!

    • Yeah, PIVX is probably the top in the tech, but with so much smoke, hype and over 1300 crypto, it will take a while until people discover PIVX, but eventually they will. I’m invested.
