I am a musician and it is pop culture 101 that the pentatonic scale is ingrained in us on a primal level. we are automatically drawn to any ascending scale accentuated by a hard hitting bass beat. the music is used to manipulate people and take away attention from bigger issues. when you said “confused children” that was the time I saw fit to comment. that little one in my profile icon is now 16 years old. started watching porn at 12 years of age, so easy to access. that was something I wasn’t aware of… knew he was going to get busy, but hey, thought he’d use his imagination or … so just last week he was telling me about a misunderstanding he and his friends were having that needed fixing. A boy and girl leave a small “let’s get wasted” party, on the front stoop of the hosting house the girl decides she’s going to perform a sexual act on this guy she maybe likes or doesn’t. He records her to show to his friends for shits and giggles. Another friend who sees this sends the video to the girl. I figure the girl must be mortified, NOPE! The issue was that the friend went outside the ‘boy group’ and showed the girl. When my son was telling me this I was disgusted, he said, what is the problem? I’ve done it twice, (recording), we all do it, it’s no big deal.
These kids are from all walks of life, rich and poor, white, black, and Asian.

Social media is wrong and the fact that while being stupid they have an incredibly advanced knowledge of technology. Quickly, last week I discovered that the Toronto District School Board blocked all social media outlets as the schools are filled with wi-fi but the students were using it to snapchat etc., – the kids way around this? change their phone settings and use fake VPN which are routed from other countries, problem solved. Not so for my son last week bc I had to reset his password from home bc I sent him an e-mail (urgent) and for him to respond he required the USA VPN hence the alert message from Microsoft.
I will not fully blame social media because maybe I should have paid more attention to what he was getting up to early on.

I am a single mom, was advised by my older brother to leave him be, he’s going to do what he wants anyway. another thing? my sister routinely went through her kids private stuff when they were at school, personally I don’t believe in reading private letters sent or received and at the time, when he was younger we had open dialogue about just about everything. Now because I didn’t listen to my heart (re: big brothers advice, I have an out of control teenager)

This is why I stopped watching television and listening to the radio 4 years ago when I had a spiritual awakening. I cant believe what goes on these days. Sadly no one in my family understands me because they are so unconscious. They all think Im just weird and anti-social. I no longer have anything in common with the friends I used to hang with.
