This is why I don’t go to church any more all they want is money and then just tell me all the happy bible stories YAY! No thanks I’d rather give to charity in gifts or clothing or disaster relief, never money because it never goes to the people affected
BuckeyeHeerios Yes! You pretty much just took the words right out of my mouth! Went to church all my life until sometime in my late 30’s the church I was going to asked everyone in the congregation to give all bank info (checking/savings accounts), assets (houses/cars – the number of, etc.) so they could earn enough to build their 2 – 3 million dollar church through pledging x-amount of money every month and even bragged about how they took a young woman’s money that she offered to them and she had earned it babysitting all her teen years so she could become a Christian worker abroad (the name for it escapes me at the moment). They actually took her money that she so graciously offered them to build their oak pew-ed, stain glass windowed, cathedral ceilinged 2 – 3 million dollar church. Because God would rather see a ridiculously expensive church for you to go to than a sweet Christian young woman help others. Upset me so badly that they took her money anyway that I left the church and never went back!

Try getting the women’s bible study app at the App Store that woman helped me out a lot to have a better understanding also. She reminds me of Jacob but the woman version. Lol. And I use my NIV study bible and I love how I can understand better. I tried reading the Kings James version and I just get frustrated because I’m trying so hard to understand therefore I push myself away. I agree with Jacob get a NIV study bible. Kjv is more for people that were either raised in the faith or have been studying the Bible for many years. I wouldn’t just jump into that version.
+Sharae H How can you not understand KJV? I have neither been raised in faith, nor been studying it for years. I started reading it about 5 years ago, and there is nothing difficult to understand. It says what it means and means what it says. The reason so many find the NIV & NLV so easy to digest is because it is dumbed down and has literally changed the meanings of so many verses, to the point where it is two completely different books. There are verses in KJV which mention Satan. The same verses in the Satanic Scriptures, NIV & NLV, make ZERO mention of Satan. There are verses that leave out any reference to God and/or Jesus. You can read whatever version you want, its your life, but trust me when I say this, you are being completely deceived by reading the Satanic Scriptures.

Hi Erica, i was never content in just one translation. I have so many different versions of the bible. Sure, things are lost in translation, but the biggest loss i would say is in our translation or perception. The essence of the word can be gleaned from most if not all Bibles. Just go to the bookstore, look through the choices, and go with what feels right…you will steer yourself in the right direction 🙂

I feel like God has been trying to teach me this one for the last several months and I wasn’t figuring out how to express it in words. Thank you so much for making this clear to me.
I recently took on a new friend and in the process of being friends with her she asked me to disciple her and in doing this I have seen my fortunes change everything turn around and get better and just keep getting better in every other aspect of my life.
For a very long time I didn’t have the confidence to teach anymore I didn’t have the confidence to stand up and say no you people are getting it wrong. I would only give little advice here and there I would see something particular about a specific person I would make the suggestion to them to work on that aspect of their lives but I hadn’t been teaching the way I had been before. And since God brought this sweet precious soul and my life not only am I helping her, she’s realigning my priorities and God is blessing everything we’re doing. And I know as long as I’m faithful in this God will bring me to the next step.

Interesting. I’ve heard about this 11:11, and I see why setting the time zone could create a higher vibration at that specific time, but 10:11 ct, 9:11 mt, 8:11 pst., why do all of these time zones miss out on their 11:11?
Actually it will be done at 11:11 am EST and everyone is supposed to use that to base their local time on. The power of prayer and collective thought is a powerful tool not often utilized.

I thought tithing was first fruits so if that’s a paycheck isn’t that first fruits if you don’t have crops. There are many types of offerings support homeless, those in prison to feed hungry help the children. I’m open to your virw
vgnorweck problem is tithing is old testament. You cannot fulfill the law impossible. Jesus fulfilled the law and faith in him means he fulfilled the law for us and you fulfill it through him.
If you tithe your trying to fulfill the law and you will fail. Galations 5:4 tells us if you do the law Christ is no effect of you and you will fall from grace. You choose to do laws and works over faith in Jesus who fulfilled all! Can’t do both but one way leads you to God and the other leads to failure no one comes to the father but through Jesus, this is the only way!
