I think it is harder to know if the student is ready … so that is why some conservative teachers don’t push. May be?
I am a little wary of traditions, there are quite a lot of yoga practices that people will frown upon.
Thank you so much for sharing Kino! This came at the right moment in my life where I recently came across this ‘situation’ on balancing the delicate line between ‘doing’ what the ‘customers’ wanted versus something my practice has held true for many years. thanx kino for the suggestion and sharing ur views. I m a hathayoga practitioner and preparing for ashtang and a Mysore visit. I take classes. for hathayoga and do experience the similar situations.
