Hi Kino, when you mention a posture for which you have another video, could you provide the link in the description? For those of us who aren’t as familiar with the Sanskrit names the videos can be hard to find. Thanks for the great videos!
eww! that’s so cool
Hey Kino, you can do this in 360º or close?
omg so hot!
love her feet..
so the inhalation you lengthen and exhalation you twist ?
Still can cach my toes but I gues is normal I don’t have even 2 years of practice 🙂
Three books I have (2 on ashtanga and Light on Yoga) all call this posture “Bharadvajasana”, not that it matters but since you’re pronouncing the extra “a” I’m assuming it’s not a typo or a mistake. Has the name changed over the years?
Actually, I think you might be right. This posture is named after the sage called Bharadvaja. All English writing is really just phonetic transliteration of the original Sanskrit writing and I think picked up the pronunciation from my teacher in India.
You start out in seated position, but what position do you finish in? Also seated position?
Is there even one specific ending position at all? Or is it all preference of the person?
Thank you for posting this one with excellent cues as you demonstrate. BharadwAja Rishi is considered one of the seven sages, Saptarishis in this time period that we are in ( extends over 10,000 years) called the vaivasvata manvantara. He is referenced in great detail in the Ramayana since Valmiki stayed at his beautiful ashram by the river after he ended his Tapas. The Asana is in tribute to this great Rishi. I am trying t learn how to do all the asanas of the Saptarishis and find your videos extremely helpful. Vasista, Viswamitra, Kasyapa, Atri, BhAradwAja,Gautama, Jamadagni are the seven Rishis.
i love your voice. and it’s terminal. let me explain why. i’m a noob
KINO what was the beginner pose mentioned as a prerequisite to bharadajasana ?
