I agree with everything you said except your opinion of off label use. I asked to be prescribed Suboxone instead of SSRI’s for depression. I was one of the first in Michigan to ever try Suboxone when it first came to market. If I remember correctly it was back in 2002 or 2003. It was off label use. Up to that point I had tried virtually every Big Pharma drug for depression. None of them did anything good. Suboxone worked well for me. However, after about 2 years of being on Suboxone I discovered the Kratom plant. Since then I stopped using Suboxone. My insurance was paying around $427 for the Suboxone every month. Now my insurance pays ZERO. I buy Kratom in bulk. So it costs me around 75 cents a day. If Scott Gottlieb get’s away with banning the Kratom plant I can only imagine the millions that tax payers will have to pay for the negative ripple effects.
I was placed on Linzess and thankfully I didn’t buy into it. $10.75 per pill. Doc gave me samples and within a half hour of taking the second pill I had a blood clot blast into my lip. Because it was a reaction never heard of I was bounced from one doctor to the next until I finally ended up in the ER. Now I’m healing from the side effects of the meds. The initial problem is being handled with oils and a simple mixture of prune juice and milk of magnesia. 90% of doctors have BigPharma so deep in their pockets they should have to have a degree in pharmaceuticals.

Im a vet on 4 different meds. Im in the slow and dragged out process of getting off this crap. Ive cut the dose in half so far in 3 months. I’m going to keep up the good fight and get myself healthy so I can be an asset to my community when the collapse comes. Cant help if I’m in the fetal position fighting withdrawls when there is riots in the streets.

Same with vit b17 and curing cancer. Then the FDA goes to plant nurseries and take all the bitter almond trees and make them illegal.
They have me dependant on opiate. Started originally while in Army. That was back 99, 00, 01. Got off from 06 to 16 and a day came 2 years ago they were put in front of me and since my daughter was born and I’ve been to inpatient twice and both times I picked up within 3 days of getting out of treatment. This is battle of a lifetime.
And the money I’ve spent is just really an unbelievable sort of thing…. I pay everything pretty much for my child and I keep my rent and vehicle up and major bills are paid but rest goes to habit.
