  1. In my experience people react very badly to you suggesting they might be wasting their time with regards to health. They feel it is so important and are very reluctant to believe they’ve been duped. Unfortunately, if you’ve ever tried a detox, you were conned.

    • Using time for better health makes sense because health ideally prolongs life. There is no incentive for people to dupe others out of their time(besides data collection). If there is a money transaction that is the best clear way to discredit people who try to be healthy. When people are spending time to be healthier and it’s not failing it isn’t a waste of time.

    • for every ‘fact” about health, however how well researched or how long it has been seen as fact by whole societies (cofee, salt, meat, milk, natural sugar) there is other reseach that proofs the opposite after a while. I just go on experience/intuition. Only vegetables everyone agrees on at this moment.

    • Not necessarily conned because it still forced people to be more attentive to their diet which is part of being healthy. The results aren’t gonna be spectacular like they claim though.

  2. Capitalism goes hand in hand with a follow me culture. People will spend all their money just to do what the Joneses next door are doing

    • You shouldn’t think of them as cleanses but rather as intermediate fasts. There’s a lot of science based health benefits that come with doing occasionally fasts and only drink liquids. Or without liquids too

  3. South Indian doctors are studying the effect of everyday gooseberry consumption and similar ayurvedic medicines on liver. Seems to show some dangerous destructive pattern with no anti dotes.

  4. When she mentions not consuming too much alcohol she probably should have mentioned sugar too, NAFLD is getting pretty relevant these days.

    • NAFLD is a very broad term, but some people with “fatty livers” (steatohepatosis) can progress to NASH (non-alcoholic steatohepatitis). NASH is a constant inflammation that can lead to fibrotic remodeling (liver gets stiffer) and cirrhosis. The cause and mechanism of this inflammation is not clearly understood yet. Also, not everyone with a fatty liver gets NASH.
When you mention sugar, it is mostly fructose, as in high-fructose corn syrup of sodas/juices/sweetened drinks, that needs to pass through the liver first. Fat and muscle cells can’t process fructose, so the liver metabolizes most of it and converts it into fat or glucose.

    • especially when they ignore topics like Palestinian children getting shot in the genitals while the USA keeps throwing billions at a terrorist organization’s illegal (even by the worst standards) settlements (⁦⌐■-■)

    • She gave nothing proactive just take a vaccine and read ingredients. I guess I could say “thank-you”… but clearly big pharma paid for this. Medicine, vaccine, don’t take supplements….can it be any more blatant….everyone can see this right?

  5. Solution: Do the things that everyone already know to do. Eat well, sleep well, exercise well, and limit consumption of bad things.

  6. basically, eat, sleep, exercise.
same thing everybody says and what we already know but don’t really do. lol

    • Isnt that so interesting? We seem to already know what is or “should” be right for us. Still we are hoping that these products like lemon with cayenne pepper (just to take the same example) will do all the work for us. Thus, we take our “wonder medicine” (or whatever trend) and can happily continue living our imbalanced life stlye with a good conscience.

    • @Maxi Schmidt I think it’s because of laziness lol it’s easy to just drink a tea or whatever and supposedly everything will be fine again.

  7. So glad To see this posted here. I’m a personal trainer & nutritionist and every time somebody asks me about detoxing or tries to convince me on including it in my programs it makes my skin crawl. Great video!

  8. Wanna clean your gut? Stop drinking juice and start eating fiber, it’s not going to flush out toxins from your liver (because that’s not really how it works), but it can accumulate in the gut and make sure everything that couldn’t get absorbed by your gut gets out.

  9. So she basically said: there is no detox just don’t take in toxins and your liver will do the rest?

  10. I was amazed what a well balanced whole foods plant-based diet done for my health. But I won’t call it a cleanse, I called it food and I got my health back.

  11. Peter Parker said it best, “Exercise, plenty of rest, you know, eat your green vegetables”

    OG trilogy is king forever!
