3D-printer enables us to create our house easily and inexpensivly.

そら – No, not really. There are some tiny homes that have the cement 3d printed. Everything else in the house is done conventionally, from doors and windows, to roofs and wiring. Cement is not a good material for most of the worlds climates. Also, 3d printed cement cant have sections replaced like normal concrete homes… and since cracking is very common, especially in areas with temperature changes, that means the house will need to be replaced every couple years.
Swae Ocean Just think about building a house you live in under 48 to 24 hours or less I’m not kidding 3D printers are in use for about 65% to 80% percent of what you own and don’t know it but I do of course. Your a little or a lot behind in this generation if you where to think I’m lying to you!

It is true doors, windows and so on doesn’t make from concrete.
But there is house which don’t have those, such as Peru house.
So I think 3D-printed house is useful if it must be constructed every couple of years.
そら well their is a material Nasa made or Nasa prize winner made it’s mad of biodegradable and recyclable biopolymer basalt composite it’s supposed to withstand mars weather conditions which is worse than earths and already in use in 3D printing homes on earth before mars in future projects.
@そら Isn’t 3D printing only really useful small scale? If you really want cheap construction you’d want to set up mass production with standardised components. Also as mentioned before the materials you can use for 3D printing are limited so it may be inefficient in some cases.
There has been a loooong absence of beauty in architecture, but before that was an even looooooooooonger dominance of form over function. I’m glad to see we are finally trying to balance designs that have a purpose *and* look appealing/interesting.
Even as an aspiring architect, I can agree.
An architecture should ask what nature wants and build with it and not destroy nature to build against it.

This guy just threw down some very serious forward thinking, the kind of thinking that we as humans are going to have to adapt if we want to continue here on this planet.
