The misconception of creative activities just being “nice” hit me. Really, they are essential and sustaining.
This was deeper and more engaging than I thought it would be. Pleasantly surprised.

Ethan Hawke seems like a very intelligent and compassionate person. I would love to meet him one day.
I’ve always wanted to pursue writing but I ended up in accounting bc the former doesn’t pay well from where I live. Really, there’s a sense of privilege into even having a choice. But I’ll try to manifest my creativity in different forms, I’ll try to be the fool.
I agree. I like what he has to say for the most part, but it is also really condescending/self-important in some aspects.
This is one of the most sorted talks I’ve heard in a while. Especially the part where he says art is no more a luxury but sustenance, I felt that. It spoke to me.
