If you’re unfit to work as a police officer, don’t quit your job to go to the academy until you know you can pass the fitness test. The test isn’t there for the giggles, its to make sure they are physically able to protect themselves and the community they serve, you – and the for the interest of public safety – don’t want to be overpowered by everyone you attempt to arrest, to be out-ran by everyone who attempts a getaway, to not be able to get to an emergency quick enough.
Come on homer. You don’t think a perp would look at a female officer and just decide to put one hand behind his back? Or, he could just run slower.

Agree. In my youth I could stand beside my husband on most things. But I took care of myself. If I failed something, I just worked harder for it.
It’s also important. We feel safe and Trust what they spend their free time doing…. because if they are not physically fit and mentally sound how do we know that there private time activities are not influencing the way they are during their in costume performance has contracted in paid by our Representatives with our money.
This is an area that needs serious addressing.

I found that police women in England are MORE LIKELY to use force AND BE AGRESSIVE. The people they are recruiting in general have no life skills and just want to have the power. We need REAL PEOPLE on the beet, getting to know people in THEIR COMINITY.
Yup. Cuz men can use physical positioning and cooperation to control a suspect. Females are all to happy to shoot from a distance, ASAP, without the patience to diffuse a situation. A cop needs to feel confident, courageous and in control. Women are natural cowards, and lack all these 3 traits.

It’s a dumb argument. Officers should be fit or they will be unable to protect. Not like the US really gives a damn. Officers are allowed to watch an unarmed criminal beat up someone without having to undertake any action because it could potentially endanger their own life. Honestly, if that happened to me I would personally make sure to give that officer a painful death.
