AI algorithms make important decisions about you all the time — like how much you should pay for car insurance or whether or not you get that job interview. But what happens when these machines are built with human bias coded into their systems? Technologist Kriti Sharma explores how the lack of diversity in tech is creeping into our AI, offering three ways we can start making more ethical algorithms.

nooo we want the Detroit become human in real life
In the future A.I. will control all of us.
A.I. will know more about us than we know of ourselves.
The AI will control us just like we control our neurons. We are not consciously aware of forcing our neurons to do actions yet they obediently act to facilitate the emergence of our consciousness.
It will not be some horrific tyranny as many dystopian dramas portray. Our individual free will will be perfectly harmonious with the free will of The AI. It is how it will survive: by helping us survive.
Data is the new oil
AI give great future if it works in limits for good cause.
And that never happens.
英语真好
She is talking about machine leaening. Not AI.
eirqiz machine learning is the consciousness of the AI being developed. It is the thought process that is being created for the machine.
+Tony Ray But it isnt, thats massively oversimplified and misleading
To be Indian is lovely
The AI cannot remove poverty. Also AI decides based on data that is fed for decision tree & not on real activity pattern
age of #EagleEye is coming ……….
you can’t, simple and plain
Without bias no decision can be made. Statistically speaking 100 percent unbiased selection is as good as purely random selection, which does not exist in this universe.
Even during big bang there was bias towards matter compared to antimatter, and now almost everything is made up of matter.
Agree, but we can still choose which bias should NOT be included.
Play it at half speed to make her sound drunk.
If you build AI you are anti-human
Remarkably civilized discussion of the merits and drawbacks of AI in the comments, but still an alarming number of trolls. YT will never change.
Better title: “how to bias AI so it produces the results we want.”
it’s irrelevant, Once AI determines what is better in term of efficiency and stability, we’ll all get killed.
An AI learns from data not opinions or bias!
