Adam Savage makes things and constructs experiments, and he utilizes costumes to include humor, color and clarity to the stories he informs. Tracing his long-lasting love of costumes– from a childhood space helmet made from an ice cream tub to a No-Face costume he used to Comic-Con– Savage checks out the world of cosplay and the implying it develops for its neighborhood. "We're connecting with something essential within us," he says. "The costumes are how we expose ourselves to each other."
