@Dingle Barry Our country’s Constitution also allows for Amendments to handle changes in society and technology. We no longer live in an age where information takes weeks to cross the country. Removing the Electoral College will change the way the presidential election works, no argument here. However, the entire concept of swing states, where the popular vote in one state can change the course of policy for the entire country, is fundamentally flawed. The equality of Americans as one person, one vote is undermined by the Electoral College and it should be replaced at the federal level, not the state level. Let states choose their own senators and representatives, but to allow individual state laws to determine the federal executive is to provide loopholes for the abuse of power.

@Dingle Barry Which part? “One person, one vote” is rooted in Baker v Carr, a 1962 Supreme Court decision relating to gerrymandering. Also Reynolds vs Sims (1964) and Wesbery v Sanders (1964). Just to remind readers, it is the job of the Supreme Court to determine the appropriate interpretation of the Constitution’s text. Constitutional amendments? Article 5.
