We discuss Andrew Yang's proposal of a universal basic income. Idealistic thinking? Socialism? Resemblance to communist ideas? These are some of the initial reactions to universal basic income.
But are they accurate? Can this system really work? Does it address the root cause of some societal challenges we face as Andrew Yang suggests? Are this is another symptom management idea?

Yes. It can work. Period.
Yes it can work if some powerful people should think and act out of their body.
Sure if you are really excited about going into a communist social credit score government controlled society

Joe, forgive my ignorance (seriously), does Yang address the critical manipulation of the EuroDollar by the Federal Reserve to enslave every citizen with debt? If he’s talking about abolishing the Fed in favor of a government controlled Treasury, then maybe yeah. Otherwise, it’s just another puppet game.
It’s inevitable really. When we reach that point where automation is doing a majority of the work there really won’t be another option. I’ve heard it more like this though. Americans would have ownership in the robots and the robots would earn salaries for us. Salaries paid by companies more so than the government. That makes more sense than corporations getting free labor while the government foots the bill. Even if people spend more it’s not sustainable. Either way at some point we’ll have to address automation or nothing will be bought or sold and we’ll all go hungry and cold.
Yang has no clue. The only way to deal with money is to abolish it. Make everything free and eliminate all of the useless jobs that don’t benefit society. Put those people to work elsewhere and reduce working hours for all.
For instance, we don’t need Nancy Pelosi to work as a bribed liar so we could assign her to give blow jobs to senior citizens and make her useful.
