I never know who to believe in these situations. The call to oust a leader of a country has been repeated so many times in recent history that were completely bogus and made up by the west with other agendas. The only way I’d know for sure is talk to the people there living through it themselves.

seanlaca I lived in Panama for four years and witnessed huge waves of Venezuelans enter the tiny country to seek a new life and hope. The new president tightened immigration due to the influx. My wife is Colombian and two of her brothers and one sister had to leave houses and businesses behind and pay their way out of Venezuela to return to Colombia. . Many of my coworkers are from Venezuela here in Canada. This report was bang on. The people have had enough. The country has been devastated and this is a huge humanitarian crisis. Some are hoping for an invasion so Venezuela can be liberated. Good reporting. There is not enough exposure to North Americans of the problems the Venezuelans have been facing for the past decade.

Check Abby Martin’s documentaries on Venezuela. It paints a totally different picture. You can have her discuss with others, just to see where it goes to. This person is not from Venezuela, nor does he live there, so he has only indirect knowledge.. Most of the news that we receive is just propaganda to push regime change, which is logical, because the US wants ALL the oil.
Now to the problems. While I think there is a lot of corruption happening, it is not the major problem. The violence appears to come from criminals that pretend to be the opposition. They also attack free press and destroy food storages. The disaster is mainly caused by sanctions that forbid other nations to trade food or medicine. The solution would be to instate a peaceful anarchistic state.
You guys need to do your research and be more honest. Venezuela was sabotaged by the USA and Colombia with sanctions, black market currency inflation, the oil exporting ban being lifted in the US 2015, OPEC and US cratering the oil prices so big oil can have Venezuela’s oil. Chavez got rid of the US oil companies. Evil socialist country Venezuela was not affected by the 2008 crash when good pure capitalism failed. This is all happening because Venezuela cannot be allowed to be independent. They were and are bypassing the USD by buying food from Turkey with gold, and now epic capitalist USA banned bartering and trading and you aren’t allowed to barter in the US because we are so capitalist and not socialist. If you consider Venezuela socialist then the US is socialist with our subsidized food prices. Do some actual research it wasn’t socialism that did this, it was the USA version of capitalism that doesn’t allow free trade of private companies with Venezuela.
Despite your political opinions and all, if you let your society and/or leadership get too weak, this is what might happen. Word up to America, and other nations having elections soon.
