France 24 live streams its news in English on youtube. It’s not perfect, but it ain’t CNN.
I realized Vice was propaganda when they were following around some ISIS and Al-nursra fighters in Syria (and they weren’t getting their heads chopped off for one thing) but one of the very few conversations they had from these terrorists passing by, that they were calling “moderate Rebels” was when a little boy walked by them, looked at the camera and said “I’m here in Syria to kill Jews.” For anybody with an inkling of knowledge of what’s really going on, that was a bizarre comment for the little kid to say, especially the Syria part. I don’t think there’s a whole hell of a lot of Israeli Jews living in Syria. And considering that Israel has never been attacked one time by any of these terrorist groups, plus they’ve been funding them and giving them a hospital beds inside Israel, Vice suddenly started looking more like CNN/Fox news.

I am old enough — and Canadian/Quebec enough — to remember how VICE started out. It was a free magazine, monthly as I recall, from Montreal, with lots of “alternative culture” coverage, a bit warmed-over hippy, and very fun to read. Then it got big ideas in its addled pate and went over to the U. S. of A. where it tried to become a media empire. Frankly, I liked that Montreal mag a whole lot better, dudes!
