I felt more kindly towards spiders until my son was bitten by a recluse. A recluse bit my son. Five nights in the hospital and necropsies. He was bitten on the foot. Weeks of crutches, high powered antibiotics. Luckily no surgery. Scar looks like a bullet hole.
