It is just me or after 10 years there is no more connection between parents and kids? Parents are not allowed to build something together with their kids; everybody thinks this is unnatural. Kids must fly away and build another nest for themselves, with the same expiration date – 10 years, when the grandkids start saying to their parents: I don’t care what you think!
Maura L I agree. It is the side effects of Individualistic cultures in America. Self-centred and emphasize mostly on their individual goals. But we can make a change in our family by treating our parents with love, care and make a big part of our lives. That creates a chain effect, so our Kids learn and so on. Give and you should receive.
Therefore ENCOURAGE one another and BUILD one another up, just as you are doing.
