We all know we should get a colonoscopy at 50, but what is a “cognoscopy”?! Dr. Dale Bredesen joined me on The Doctor’s Farmacy to talk about the term he coined, a “cognoscopy”; what it is, why it’s important, and if we can get it with our regular doctor.

I think my Mom needs one. Lady night she thought it was morning even though it was 7:45:at night. Sounds expensive though
I won’t be surprised if regular doctors aren’t aware about this test.
I had a craniectomy after an accident to stop a couple of different types of haemorrhage, remove several blood clots and sort out my extensively fractured skull and straight away other pains I had (gout/hallux limitus disappeared, patella/ligament pain broken clavicle) and my vestibular migraine symptoms including a lot of vertigo attacks and nausea didn’t come back. Within 3 months my cognitive function has been better than it was for years before my accident. My motivation to live a much more positive life has really changed as well and it feels like it’s just natural and everything is much easier, like my brain has been completely reset in a very positive way…So maybe before my accident a cognoscopy could have helped but luckily my injury and surgery seems to have done what was needed.
