If robots could do anything humans can (but cheaper), would you still say the same? How long until that becomes true? “Who will own the robots” is a very sensible question in my opinion.

In other words, if all of the menial jobs are taken by robots the people who are only
capable of menial labor will be out of a job.
With our current education system we will always have an abundance of stupid people.
If they loose their income to robots the savings produced will be lost by having to support
all of the displaced menial people.
We need smarter people.

My friend who was earning $30/hour as a carpenter spent two years in federal prison because he had a burnt joint stub in his backpack. It was an old backpack from when he was a teenager and it had been there for years and he totally forgot about it. When he entered a federal court building, a dog detected it, and downhill from there. His wife and four kids collected welfare while he was inside too. Multiply cases like that a million times.
