My son Joel told me about a group of believers that came to their school slashing and killing people spiritually by the sword..( the word of God). A lot of Christian, religions, and organization totally miss the message of Christ. Which is the Gospel of peace… Christ won the masses over by ministering in Love..
Not by tell them their all going to hell for doing this and doing that, no He seated Himself in the midst of them.. tax collectors , prostitutes and all kinds of different sinners. And He ate and drank with them.. and He shared the love of the Father with them. He didn’t beat them with the word( sword).
Matthew the tax collector was one of those very people he sat down with that night. And Matthew didn’t have to be told He was a sinner, neither did the rest of the group. They all knew that they weren’t right with God.
But the next day Jesus seen him Matthew at the receipt of customs (where he stood and collected taxes from people).
And Jesus only said two word’s to him that day… follow me. And Matthew was so grateful that the lord loved him so much even as a sinner, he’s heart Rejoiced that the Lord wanted him and Loved him. Matthew followed Jesus that very day.
Jesus won Matthew over in Love not by beating with the word.. Peter ..on the very evening that the Sanhedrin sent guards with Judas the betrayer to arrest our Lord and murder Him struck the ear of a guard cutting his ear off… but Jesus told Peter no… you live by the sword you will die by the sword, and Jesus restored his ear to whole again.
Most people don’t even know what took place, the word of God can restore things or it can be used to destroy things.. Peter did the very thing that the pharisees were doing to the masses..they never told the truth.. they wouldn’t be able to yoke a person then.. and the yoke and burdens they themselves couldn’t even bare.
Peter cut off the hearing the truth of the Gospel of peace from that young guard with and by the word… he used it to harm a young Spiritual soul. But Jesus didn’t come to kill , steal or destroy..He came to bring life and more abundant life. He came to open the eye’s and ears of the Spiritual deaf and blind..to preach the Good news of the Gospel.
Our lord comes and goes from this world that we live in all the time. He constantly visits His people to check on their progress. But what will He find us doing? Will he find us beating the people with the word? Or will He find His disciples ministering reconciliation in love? Jesus said my disciples will be known for their Love.
We need to only point them to Jesus and the cross. We can not take up judgement against them. Tell the people God loves them and has never forgotten them… tell them God forgives them and wants them. Encourage them. God will teach them Himself after they call on Him…The body needs to start ministering reconciliation. Not doom and gloom.
As a teenager i went to this Holy roller Baptist Church with a friend, they did that very same thing they did on the campus of my son Joel…fear tactics.. I was more scared of the people that i was of the message.. i would’ve and did confess anything just to get out of there.
And i never went to a church again for several years. What won me over was a man of God named Glen Johnson…. He lead me to Jesus in Love and acceptance, and Jesus received me Just like He receives all that come to Him by way of Jesus. He didn’t slaughter me with the word.. He is a disciple of Jesus.. and he walked the path of peace and love.
My disciples will be know for their love. Like Jesus loves and tought the people.. we the body need to be the same way.
Then we will be true fishers of men.

When they say as above so below, just what are they really referring to ? I hear this expression a lot, but don’t recall hearing it until these last 10 years.
@Mitch Scroggins Satan has rebelled against God. He took the Earth and the Lord’s crowning achievement captive for awhile. Satan made his own law, “do as thou wilt.” He also took this kingdom from Jesus by force. In essence, Satan intends to supremely rule this world as above.
@Rocco Donato Thanks for explaining that to me. I’ve don’t recall hearing that expression in my younger years, but hear lots of people say it now. So basically those who use it & proclaim that as their philosophy are not of God. That’s good to know. Knowledge is power ! And I want to live in the power of God Almighty !

My parents were overprotective, & once I was an adult, I understood what a blessing that was in my life, & I know they did that because they really loved us, & that they understood that was there job to take care of us & protect us ! There vigilance kept us safe, & taught us morals, values, principles, & to be very discerning of who we put our trust in. So you keep being over protective, because you are doing something of great value for your daughter ! When she’s grown she will understand & be so very grateful to you for it ! Keep being the AWESOME Dad you are !
