  1. One of the things that got me interested in yoga in the first place was this sense of being in the present, of controlling your emotions.

I have generalized anxiety disorder with panic attacks. Depression and ADHD as well. One of the practices in psychology and therapy which have helped me move forward with my life has been mindfulness meditation. It is very much like yoga in the sense of calming the mind and staying focused on the moment.

Every day is a struggle to move forward and the practices of the emotional mind have helped me.

Heh, my body (physical shape) will follow soon enough.

  2. Thanks for this Kino, I struggle with the same thing, always micromanaging the universe trying to leave nothing to chance, though i eventually can let go…Listening to you i’m reminded of one of my favourite quotes by Spock from Star Trek VI “Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end” 🙂

  3. Thank you for the video Kino. Your words are true and loving. May I also ask where are your bracelets and necklace from? +Kino MacGregor

  4. Kino, I’m from Brazil and would like to share how your classes are wonderful and have helped me a lot.
    Yoga is happiness
    we continue in this
    cheers!

  5. Thanks Kino! Do you ever listen to Allen Wallace? I think you would enjoy him. Oh, and this is exactly what I needed to hear! And now, to my practice! (Or bat mobile, I haven’t decided…)

  6. I never thought I could do Yoga but after I started this 30 Yoga Challenge, I read this really great article- can’t remember where- and it basically said just show up and be present. That was some of the most unburdened advice I have ever received. Just the the thought of showing up everyday doing what I can and being satisfied with that has helped me tremendously in my new discovery of Yoga. And with that said, I really agree with you, especially on the micromanaging and I will take your advice to heart. Thank you and lovely video. 🙂

  7. This was one of the reasons why I fell in love with yoga, and it helped me with some if my darkest moments. My intention for 2014 was to live in the moment and it brought me so many wonderful experiences! Admittedly I lost my focus this past month and also my dedication to yoga – thanks Kino inspiring and reminding me back on the right road!
