After a visit to a European library in search of Arabic and Middle Eastern texts turned up only titles about fear, terrorism and destruction, Ghada Wali resolved to represent her culture in a fun, accessible way. The result: a colorful, engaging project that uses LEGO to teach Arabic script, harnessing the power of graphic design to create connection and positive change. "Effective communication and education is the road to more tolerant communities," Wali says.

I would looooove to learn this language! My toddler watches you tube kids videos. I find shes more inclined to watch the Arabic ones than the English ones. I have been looking for a fun easy way we could learn together!

Because it’s a universal language that children understand. Most kids in most cultures play legos. Therefore makes it appealing to different cultures all over the world. I think it’s brilliant.

So wait. You say you are using Lego, and how letters connect together is important. But then you don’t build anything with them, you just place them side by side and took pictures, and give them a blight background color. Why even use Lego at all? Any inanimate object would do the exact same thing. You just depicted the letters in a terribly low resolution. There are people who entire jobs are depicting things using Lego. You should have called one of them for collaboration.
While I haven’t read this book.. But she did use the Lego (connected) in some of the pages to spell out words.. I am not sure how well you know Arabic.. But she did use it to spell out words not just letters

as an Arabic speaker I am always amazed by the fact that American movies write Arabic script (in street sings and and the like) they write it backward and separated it is unreadable for anyone speaking Arabic, I mean you spend millions of dollars on a movie and you can’t figure out how a modern language is written , I laughed out loud when watching “Arrival” a movie about deciphering an alien language and in the movie they write Arabic backward and separated. I thought good luck deciphering alien languages.
